Two

"Grandma, look what I brought you." Wooyoung sits down next to his grandma and hands her the rose.

"My favorites." She smiles. "But where do you get these from, Woo? I don't want you to get in trouble."

"Don't worry." Wooyoung reassures her. "My friend has a beautiful garden and let's me take some roses every now and then." He lies. He doesn't even know who lives in that house.

"Well, then thank you. You've been giving me so many lately." She tries sitting up on the bed.

"Have you taken your medication, grandma?" He quickly stands up and reaches for it.

"Don't worry. I already took it." She puts the rose down on the nightstand and lays back down on the bed.

"You can rest. I'll wake you up for dinner, okay?" Wooyoung reaches for some blankets and puts them over her. She just nods and closes her eyes.

Wooyoung frowns. Each day, his grandma seems more sick than the day before.

He walks out of the room and closes the door behind him, before walking into the kitchen. "I'm home, mom."

"Oh, hi sweetie. Just in time for dinner." His mom reaches for a plate and puts it down on the table.

"Dinner? Already? Why so early? Grandma just went to sleep. I didn't think we were having dinner already."

"That's okay. Let her rest... I have to go back to work soon."

"Oh." Wooyoung just nods. His mom has been working a lot lately.

"So please heat up the food for your grandma later, okay? Let her rest for now."

"Okay, mom."

"And please don't leave her alone, Woo. She might want something and someone needs to be there with her."

"Okay." Wooyoung nods.

His mom gives him a kiss on the forehead before picking her keys up and walking out of the house.

"I'm alone... again." He sighs.

"Mom, Yunho's coming over. Is that okay?" San asks his mom when he gets to the kitchen.

"Of course, sweetie. You should know that Yunho's always welcomed here."

"Okay, thanks mom." San gives her a hug before he hears the doorbell ringing.

He rushes out of the kitchen and towards the front door, then opens it to see his best friend Yunho.

"Yunho!" San smiles and gives him a hug.

"Sannie!" Yunho smiles back at him and hugs him tightly.

San and Yunho have been best friends ever since they were little kids. They were around five years old, which means they've been best friends for seven years now.

"Good afternoon, Mrs. Choi." Yunho bows politely when he sees San's mom.

"Yunho, how are you?" San's mom smiles at him. "Have you eaten yet?"

"I ate already, but thank you."

"Mom, we'll be in my room." San takes Yunho's arm and Yunho bows politely at her, before being pulled away by San.

When they get to his room, Yunho looks around and looks at the pictures of both of them that San has up on the walls. He smiles since San has had those for a while now.

"Wooyoung came over again." San looks out the window and Yunho's smile fades.

"To get more flowers?" Yunho asks.

The only things he knows about Wooyoung, are that he comes over to steal roses from San's garden and that he happens to be San's crush.

"Yeah... I think he really likes roses." San smiles. "He took another one today. My mom got so annoyed." He laughs. "But of course, I didn't tell her who did it. She thinks I don't know."

"What if he ends up taking them all?"

"That's impossible. There's so many roses." San shakes his head. "Please don't tell anyone, Yunho. I don't want him to get in trouble. I doubt he steals them with bad intentions."

"Don't worry... I wouldn't do that." He tells him. "Did you invite Jongho?" He asks him, trying to change the subject since he doesn't want to talk about Wooyoung anymore.

"I did, but he said he couldn't make it today." San tells him and he just nods.

Jongho's their other friend along with Yeosang, but they do admit that they're not as close to them as they are to each other.

"Do you think I should talk to Wooyoung? I want to, but I'm too shy." San frowns. "Could you help me? Come on... you're my bestie."

"How can I do that?"

"I don't know...  but you can think of something, right? Please..."

"I'll see what I can do." Yunho nods, not being able to say no to him.
