"Wait, so you and Seonghwa are good again?" San asks Wooyoung and smiles.

They were now at the park and were on their picnic date. Thankfully, there wasn't many people there and they could talk without any interruptions.

"Yes!" Wooyoung nods and smiles. "He apologized to me and I forgave him. I really missed him. He was my best friend when we were little kids, but it looks like now his best friend is Hongjoong." He pouts. "So I guess I'll have to start all over. I also want to fix things with Hongjoong."

"It's okay. Just take it one day at a time, okay? You're on good terms with Seonghwa now, so you shouldn't be worried about other things for now."

"You're right." He nods. "I'm sorry for just talking about my problems on our date." He pouts. "I didn't realize."

"No, that's okay." San smiles. "I'm glad I can help you out, so if you want to say anything else, just tell me."

"Now it's your turn." Wooyoung looks at San as they're both lying down on the picnic blanket. They had already finished eating and were now having a conversation as they both faced each other. "I've realized I've talked to you about my problems, but you haven't really told me about yours."

"Well..." San starts. "I guess I was fortunate to not really have much problems in life. Of course, like any other human, I have those days where I'm sad and all, but nothing too serious." He tells him. "The worst moment in my life was when my father left me and my mom, but I can't say I didn't suspect it."

"He left you?! Why would he do that?!"

"It turned out he had another family. I guess he preferred them." San sighs. "Actually... when we started talking five years ago, was around the time he had left us. So talking to you really made me feel better."

"I'm glad I could make you feel better then." Wooyoung smiles at him and reaches for his hand. "Because you made me happy during really hard times. You were always so positive and made me have hope that... that my grandma would get better, so thank you for that. I really don't know what would've happened if I hadn't met you back then."

"Can I ask you something?" San asks him since he's been wanting ask him for a while now.

"Sure... what is it?"

"Why did you work at the flower shop? And how come I hadn't seen you in school until after that day?" He asks him, curiously.

"Well..." Wooyoung starts. "I started working at the flower shop because I thought that maybe I could get over my fear of roses... And the reason you didn't see me at school until after that day was because I started going when I saw you again." He tells him, shyly. "I had been skipping school since I moved back here because I didn't feel like seeing anyone, but when I saw you again at the flower shop, I started going to school because I wanted to see you."

"So I was right. You just pretended not to know me." San raises an eyebrow. "You recognized me from the start..."

"Yeah... but I think we've talked about this already, haven't we? I just pretended not to know you because I didn't think I deserved to have friends."

"Okay, let's change the subject." San tells him, not wanting to remind Wooyoung about how much he used to blame himself.

It seems like Wooyoung has been getting better these past few days, so he doesn't want him to start blaming himself again.

"Do you know if Seonghwa is single?" San asks him, curiously.

"S-Seonghwa?" Wooyoung sits up. "Why?"

"Just asking." San sits up as well.

"Why are you asking?" He frowns. "Are you interested in him?"

Wooyoung looks at San, impatiently waiting for him to answer. He knows he wouldn't have asked him out on a date if he wasn't interested in him, but why does it matter to him if Seonghwa is single?

"No, don't get the wrong idea." San repeatedly shakes his head. "He's cute and all, but I already like someone else. I was asking for a friend."

Wooyoung thinks for a while, trying to figure out what friend he is talking about. "For a friend?"

"Yeah... I'm not going to say who, but you might find out soon." He tells him.

"But wait..." Wooyoung realizes what San said earlier. "You said you like someone already? Who?"

"You really don't know?" San lays down on the blanket and looks up at the sky. "Well... who do you like?" He turns to face Wooyoung.

"Who do you think I like?" Wooyoung starts leaning in and stops when their lips are just a few centimeters apart.

San just looks up at him as they're really close to each other and he feels his face heating up. "I-I don't know." San answers nervously.

For some reason, he had the courage to ask him out on a date, but he can't help but feel nervous now that they're so close to each other.

He also knows they're on a date right now, but he doesn't want to assume he's the one Wooyoung likes. What if Wooyoung actually likes someone else and is just on a date with him to give him a chance?

"Don't overthink it, San." Wooyoung tells him. These past few days, he didn't have the courage to ask San out on a date, but it looks like he was saving up all the courage for this moment. "It is you."

And just as San is about to say something, Wooyoung leans in all the way, pressing his lips against his.
