Hollywoodwherever lavender was, her boyfriends weren't that far behind. tonight was the night of their dreams. luke, reggie, alex, and their final member bobby were playing at the orpheum theater. lavender was extremely proud of the boys and extremely excited to see them play later tonight.
at the moment she was currently jamming out with a worker, a beautiful girl named rose, as the band rehearsed for their big show. lavender loves listening to the boys play, even if she's always sitting through their practices.
after the boys finished playing their song now or never, they were covered in sweat. rose and i cheered loudly for the boys along with other people scattered around the venue. "thank you we're sunset curve." reggie spoke sending a wink in my direction. i let out a laugh saying a quick goodbye to rose before making my way on stage towards the boys.
once i got onto the stage, reggie pulled me into a hug. "ew reggie get off you're all gross." i groaned fighting his grasp. "shut up you love it baby." reggie argued, tightening his grip. "too bad we wasted the tightest we ever played on sound check." bobby spoke after taking a sip of water. "wait until tonight man. when this place is packed with music execs." luke spoke excitedly. "you guys always play great. they're gonna love you." i spoke up, still stuck in reggies hold. "lavs right. also alex you were smoking" reggie spoke giving alex a tap on his chest once he joined us.
alex being the person he is immediately denied it. "oh no. i was just warming up. you guys were the ones on fire." alex spoke pointing to the other three guys. "alex shut up you're a great drummer." i spoke sending him a playfully glare. he smiled at me before pulling me from reggies clasp into his. "all right i was killing it." alex admitted after the guys began to protest his previous statement as well. placing a kiss on my forehead he passed me to luke who began to hug me from behind. "well i'm thinking we fuel up before the show along with making sure lavender eats too. i'm thinking street dogs." luke spoke looking at the guys.
i began to protest but the guys were already heading towards the exit before abruptly stopping after noticing bobby wasn't following them nor was i. "bobby what are you doing?" luke asked as alex made his way towards me. "i know you don't like street dogs but i promise it's just this one time. i'll never make you eat them again lav." he spoke giving me his best puppy dog eyes. "how could i ever say no to that face." i said letting out a sigh but grabbing his hand and following his lead anyway.
as we reached the other guys i could see reggie give rose their demo and a tshirt. "i'll be sure not to wipe the tables down with this one." rosie sent the boys a smile "good call. whenever they get wet, they kinda just fall apart in your hands." alex spoke joining the conversation and placing me in between reggie and luke. "i told you guys to find someone else to make the shirts." i spoke shaking my head at how stupid they can be. "don't you guys have to go get hot dogs? lav can stay with us if you want." bobby spoke. "nah we gotta make sure she eats before the show. well see you later man." luke spoke patting bobbys shoulder before grabbing my hand and pulling me out of the venue.
as soon as we reached outside the boys began to celebrate once more. "that's what i'm talking about." luke spoke excitedly with a smile his face causing me to smile as well. "the smell of sunset boulevard?" alex questioned raising an eyebrow at the brunette. luke rolled his eyes "it's what that girl said in there tonight." luke spoke wrapping his arms around the four of us. "about our music alright? it's like an energy." he continued "it connects us with people." he gestured to people waiting in line to enter the venue. "they can feel us when we play. i want that connection with everybody." he spoke as we got closer to the group of people ahead. "then we're gonna need more tshirts." reggie spoke pulling out two more shirts. i let out a laugh shaking my head at him.
i hesitantly allowed luke to put ketchup on my hot dog, watching as alex dropped a pickle onto the cars battery. "man, i can't wait until we eat somewhere where the condiments aren't in the back of an oldsmobile." alex spoke before turning towards the cook to apologize. "sorry, i think i got some pickle juice on your battery cables." the man shook it off saying the juice helped with the rust. "i'm not eating this." i spoke after throwing myself down across from the boys. "yes you are princess." luke spoke giving me a stern look. i let out a sigh before giving in. "this is awesome you guys. we're playing the orpheum! i can't even count how many bands got discovered after playing there." luke spoke excitedly thinking about the future of their band.
i know how hard luke wants to prove to his parents that joining the band was worth it. that he wasn't wasting his life away. "eat ups boys and girl. cause after tonight everything changes." luke spoke seriously before we all put our hot dogs together and then taking a bite. alex and i made a face after taking a bite. "that's a new flavor." alex spoke still chewing his dog. "this can't be safe." i spoke ready to throw the hot dog out, not trusting it. "come on guys, street dogs haven't killed us yet." reggie argued continuing to eat the dog. i let out another sigh before hesitantly taking another bite.
oh how i wish i didn't. after that all i could see was black.
