The First Mistake

Lyra was able to make it back to the castle without getting caught.

Lyra was currently staring at her ceiling she hid the rope and put away her cloak,she was thinking about all the things she's seen it was better then she imagined.

Lyra then started to drift off to sleep.

Lyra soon woke up then sat up then went to the bathroom.

After Lyra freshen up she left the bathroom then heard a knock on her door.

"Come in" she said as she went over to the window leaned against it.

The doors opened to reveal a light green haired girl she was holding something in her arms,Lyra looked closer and noticed it was a box.

"Hey Lyra looked what I found in the basement"Cyan said placing the box on Lyra's bed.

Lyra curious made her way to her and looked as Cyan opened the box.

Inside the box it had old drawings that looked like they we're drawn by kids,A picture frame,and a book.

Lyra took one of the drawings it was a drawing of a flower she then placed it down then looked at the drawing that looked like two kids holding hands one a human and the other a monster.

Cyan picked up the picture frame then stared at it her eyes wide.It was picture of her,Lyra,Chara,and Asriel the deceased brother of Chara.Then she noticed there were two other kids but it seem that part was torn off.

Lyra picked up the book and opened it the title read 'The Buttercup flowers'
She flipped through a few pages then there in the middle of the book laid to look like a bookmark a yellow flower it was wilted, Lyra inspected then placed it back where she found it then closed the book.

Lyra looked at Cyan as she was staring at the picture frame, Lyra peered over then looked at picture.

Then after awhile Cyan placed the picture frame back in the box the drawings also in the box.

"Hey Lyra, I'm going to keep this box, ok?"Cyan said smiling softly.

Lyra returned the smile as she nodded the book still in her hands.

"Ok but can I keep this book?"Lyra asked.

"Sure"

Cyan picked up the box then headed for the door then stopped when her hand was on the doorknob.

"Lyra we won't hide anything from each other right?"Cyan asked as she turned to face Lyra.

Lyra was silent her hair creating a shadow that's covering her eyes.

Then Cyan left after Lyra said those two words that she will keep in mind for the rest of her life.

"Of course"
