The Aching Truth

Lyra was currently in her room in the castle, she couldn't sneak out because her parents said they will have a late night meeting.

Lyra was disappointed that she couldn't hangout with Sans, but at least Cyan's there in her room to keep her company.

Lyra had to wait in her room, while The King and Queen and the Royal council had a private meeting about the war and other stuff that Lyra is not old enough to worry about.

"Hey Cyan, what do you think there talking about this time?"Lyra asked curiosity in her voice.

"Hmm, probably about how to stop the war" Cyan responded.

"And imagine if they did stop the war, I can finally show you Waterfall and Snowdin!"Cyan said with excitement.

Lyra giggled at her friends reaction.'To bad I already saw it'

Cyan looked at Lyra as she giggled,then Cyan started giggling too.

They we're both laughing now.

When it finally calmed down Lyra got an idea."How about we listen to there conversation?"Lyra said,Cyan looked at her friend then she smirked.

Now that's going to be fun.

They both started to make a plan.

Lyra and Cyan snuck around the castle,Sometimes they would hide from guards passing by,They even almost got caught,But luckily didn't.

The we're now in a hall the meeting room at the end,they we're both excited to hear what would happen.

When they saw the door,they slowly but surely made there way to the door and leaned in to what they we're saying.

They we're talking about the war and how they can make a peace treaty and stuff like that.

"I can help with the peace treaty" a familiar voice spoke, but Lyra didn't know who it was.

"And what what would that be"Toriels  voice chimed in.

Cyan then peaked a bit through the door to see the familiar voice,then her eyes widened she looked at Lyra and whispered who it was,Lyra was shocked.

It was Gaster

They both we're now really curious why he would come here?he was the one who started the war if they kill him now everything would be over.

But Lyra didn't like the thought of them killing him just for peace when there are other ways to make peace.

They both started to listen closely as Gaster spoke, not wanting to miss anything he says.

"You see there are three human children fell into the underground,correct?"Gaster said looking at the Queen, since she was the one who kept records about the fallen children.

"You are correct"Toriel said.

"But I heard that six other children fell into the underground"Faster said

Lyra and Cyan were both shocked,They both thought they we're the only humans.

"WHAT?!?! Where?!What happened to them!?!"
Toriel said worry and anger in her voice.

"There dead"Gaster said coldly,it made a chill go down Lyra and Cyan's spine,Gaster continued.

"When they fell into the underground they weren't so lucky,cause when they fell the died by the impact"Gaster said.

"So what do you think we should do?"one of the royal councler asked.

"If we do what I say next not only will are war be over, we will be able to break the barrier"Gaster said.

The council started whispering then asked Gaster what does he propose to do,That's when Faster smirked.

"We kill the humans"

Everyone stayed silent.

Then the council started whispering.

Lyra and Cyan we're both shocked 'They're going to kill is' Cyan and Lyra thought.

Then a loud 'bang' coming from As gore as he slams he's hands on the table.

"I do not except such a thing, it is cruel they did nothing to us and one of the humans you speak of is my daughter,So either you choose another way for peace or leave instead"Asgore said coldly, glaring at Gaster.

Silence

"As you wish your Majesty"

Lyra and Cyan softly sighed in relief.

"Then how about an arranged marriage?"Gaster suggested.

Asgore looked at his wife as if asking for approval,she nodded.Asgore looked back at Gaster as he spoke"Go on".

"You see I have two sons and you have  a daughter so what if you're daughter marries my oldest son they are in the proper age"

Cyan looked at Lyra,worry and shock clearly in her expression.Lyra's face was calm,she knew her parents wouldn't do that without her consent,right?

There was silence The council,Gaster,and Asgore all looked at the Queen for an answer.

Lyra and Cyan we're about to sigh in relief knowing the Queen would never accept anything like that,Until they heard those two words"

"I accept"

Everyone was shocked at what she said and we're silent till they decide to talk about other different matters.

Cyan was so shocked she turned to Lyra to say something comforting,But she say something that made her words get caught on her throught.

Lyra was standing there her eyes we're open and wide showing her blood red eyes.

Cyan has never seen Lyra's eyes before they always seemed like they we're close.

Lyra looked at Cyan her eyes staring right at Cyan's before she closed them back again.

"We should leave"Lyra whispered.

Cyan just nodded and they left and went back to Lyra's room.

Cyan left to go back to her quarters,when she arrived in her room the last thing she saw before she drift of to sleep.

Was when Lyra looked at her with her blood red eyes and her expression darkened.
