Chapter 1: The Tactician asked to be trusted.
"Resonance...Link...Creation."
It was sudden darkness after Luxifer heard that seemingly distant voice of a young girl.
'I didn't know what happened next. '
All did Luxifer know is that he was fatally wounded and was only holding on for a brief moment before the darkness enveloped him.
Thinking for a moment. He did realize something.
'Oh right. I did die.'
'So this is the sensation of dying huh.'
'No discomfort, no pain, and also no relief.'
Luxifer thought as he tried to feel his body.
He felt as if he seemed to be travelling in a void.
Surprisingly enough, he found out that he could move his lower half that was almost destroyed beyond recognition during the attack.
'Im surprisingly calm about this huh...'
Luxifer pondered.
Thinking deeper, he died.
Now that he died, the "Shadow Tactician" is long gone.
With his absence, the naval battlefield will soon change and it will rapidly shift for the Eastern Empire's advantage.
But surely, there are people who will succeed his position and the war will still continue.
'However, who sold me out?'
The big question.
No one besides his direct superiors knew where their base is located.
Furthermore, Their location is only known to a select few to the point that even his subordinates in the island doesn't even know where they are despite them being there.
However, even knowing who that is, Luxifer can't change anything due to the fact that he is dead.
'It can't be helped. War is the result of greed after all. They might have seen me a hindrance to their goal.'
Luxifer suspected that one or some of his superiors have under the table dealings with the Eastern Empire.
Luxifer knew that the Eastern Empire's connections were vast. They had spies all around the globe and they pretty much penetrated even the higher echelons of power in various nations.
