Nightmares suck

Raina's POV

I already know what's going to happen. But it's been so long since I've had this nightmare. Every time we move, the nightmare always come back to bite me in the ass. But it always gets more and more dark. I was my ten year old self. Going to watch as my parents were killed right in front of me.

I watched as the faceless man took down most of my friends and people that I saw as family. I saw my mother and father. "Mom! Dad!", I yelled they're names. They turned around to look at me. They're faces full of concern and horror. "Raina! Get out of here! Now! Run!", my father yelled at me. But I just shook my head. "No! I won't let you!", I yelled back. I tried making my way over to them. But he only raised his hand. And I knew he could stop me. Because my mother sewed metal strings into my shirt. I was stuck in place. "Charles! Get her out of here! Now!", my father yelled at uncle Charles. No! "NO!", I screamed. But it was no use. I can't win against my fathers power.

I felt arms wrap around me. I screamed and struggled. Trying to get out of my uncles arms. I screamed even louder. I raised my hand to my father and mother. Begging them, not wanting to see my parents die. My mother and father looked at me. I could see the understanding, back then I didn't know what it was. But I knew they knew they were going to die. But I could also see the love they had for one another and for me. "Be strong for us, don't ever lose hope", the both of them said. And I screamed as I watched my parents were taken down by the faceless man. With a gun. The faceless man was human. Who was coming after me, because of what I was. My parents died because of me.

I screamed and screamed I couldn't scream any longer. My throat burned and burned. My parents were killed because of me. My mother. My sweet sweet mother died because of me. My father. My brave and strong protector died because of me. Even with a sore throat. I screamed and screamed.

Jax's POV

I woke up to screaming. I jumped up and got in defense. Ready to take down anyone who threatened to take Raina. But the screaming was coming from Raina. I looked down at the bed. I could see her withering. Her screamed echoed off the walls of the room. Her hands clenching the sheets of the bed. I sighed sadly. I ran a hand through my hair. My poor Raina. The same nightmare. The same one she relives every time we move. I hated to see her in so much pain. My poor sis. I heard the door open, I didn't have to turn my head to know it was Charles. I could already tell by scent. I turned my head to look at him. Our faces mirrored each other's. He looked at me sadly. "The same nightmare?", he asked me. I sighed and nodded. "Yeah", I said simply. I crawled back into the bed. I wrapped my arms around her and brought her into my lap. I caressed her hair. Running my fingers slowly through her hair. Knowing this calms her down after the nightmare. "Shh, it's okay, everything's going to be okay. It's okay", I whispered to her. Her eyes slowly began to open. Her eyes watery, tears slowly rolling down her cheeks. More and more tears rolled down her cheeks. She hugged me closer to her. She cried in my arms. I just hugged her closer. "It's okay, your okay, your going to be okay. Nothings going to get you while I'm here. Shh", I whispered to her.

The calm, the storm, we'll face it all", I sang the last bit. Her hand finally loosened from my shirt. I smiled and kissed her forehead. "I know things are shitty right now, but we'll get through it together. Like we always have and like we always will. I will always be by your side. Always. You'll never have to fight alone, cause I'll always fight right by your side. I'll always be here Rainy. I'm not going anywhere, you aren't losing me, just like I'll never lose you, your the only reason why I'm still here, the only reason I'm still alive, I only live to protect and love you, my little sister, nothings going to tear us apart, and I mean nothing", I whispered to her. And before I knew it. I could hear her snores. I smiled softly and sadly. My poor little sister. Always has to look behind her back. But she knows I'm always with her. She knows I'll never let anyone hurt her or take her from me.
