Raina's POV

I woke up feeling groggy. Ugh. I hate this feeling. I felt around with my hands. Feeling cold sheets, I could smell something funky. Like medicine. The hell? I slowly opened my eyes. But I groaned and closed my eyes at the brightness. I heard a heavenly chuckle. "Sorry about that", the voice said. I slowly opened my eyes. It was all blurry and bright. But soon the blurriness went away and I was face to face with a very handsome man. "Hi", I mumbled.

Carlisle's POV

I watched as she slowly woke up from the morphine. She slowly opened those beautiful eyes of hers. But as soon as they were open they were again closed from the bright light above her head. I chuckled. "Sorry about that", I said turning off the light. I watched again as she slowly opened her eyes. She blinked a few times, it was like slow motion.
Her eyelashes blinked slowly. And it was the most beautiful moment I've ever seen since meeting Esme. She was so beautiful. Like the goddess Hera.

Her beautiful hazel eyes met mine. And never before did I ever think my Eyes were so bland before looking into hers. They sparkled like jewels. "Hi", she mumbled softly. If I were human I would have hardly have heard it. But her voice was like an angels. If I ever met an Angel, I'm pretty sure she would look like her. I smiled at her softly. "Hello there Miss Henderson. You took quite the spill, I will need you to keep you here for a couple of days due to your broken leg, it was snapped into three parts. I had to do surgery on it to put it back together. So there are plates inserted in your leg. Also, you have a second degree concussion, but once you are nice and healed you can go on home", I said to her softly. I watched as she grimaced as I said her injuries. She lifted her head to see around the room. Her eyes widened when she saw who else was in the room. "Jax!", she squealed but then held her head after. I worriedly looked after her. I knew it did no harm to her. Jackson walked over to her and hugged her tightly but gently. "Oh thank god! I was so worried!", he said. He acted like a worried big brother. I smiled at the scene. Cute.

I watched as Raina pouted at her brother. "I'm fine Jax, well at least I'm gonna be fine", she said. I raised an eyebrow. She has a very different definition of fine then I do. She's lucky to be alive right now. If she hadn't jumped out of the way. I don't think she would have made it. I grimaced when I thought that. I also felt a elbow hit my side. I turned my head and saw Charles. He glared at me. Ah, another mind reader. Great. Just great. I sighed softly to myself.

I then looked back at my mate. Who was now looking away from Jackson and now at Jasper and Alice. I smiled softly when I saw a small and shy smile on her lips. "Hi", she whispered to them. I saw them smile down at her. "How you doin' darlin'?", Jasper whispered to her. I saw the blush on her cheeks grow darker. "I'm not feeling the best but I'll get better, soon", she said. She moved and then grimaced. I rushed over to her. "Try not to move so much, it'll only hurt more", I scolded her softly. She clenched her eyes closed and tried to get in a comfortable position. I sighed and laid my hand on her arm. Which stopped her from moving. Her eyes went to my hand that was on her arm. I moved my hand from her arm. But before my hand was out of reach. She grabbed it and held my hand. Her hand was much warmer then mine. Much tanner then mine and I loved it.

"Your hand is cold", she whispered as she looked up at me. I smiled at her. "Yes, that'll happen when your one of us", I said. She looked at me and then back at Alice and Jasper. "You mean by being vampires?", she whispered. I chuckled. "Yes", I said simply. She just shrugged and brought the back of my hand to her cheek. She leaned into it. It was as if she liked the coldness of my skin. "Feels nice", she mumbled almost drunkly.

I chuckled once more. Means the morphine is working. I turned my hand over and cupped her cheek. She leaned into it immediately. If I had a heart beat. I'm pretty sure it would pound against my chest.

She turned her head and looked at both Jasper and Alice. She giggled. She was pretty drugged now. "Your both so pwetty", she mumbled over her words. They both chuckled. Jasper hesitated but raised a hand, gently caressing her hair. He gave her a smile. "You are so beautiful darlin'", he told her. I watched as Raina blushed even more and waved her hand at him. "Awww, don't butter me up. You handsome cowboy", she mumbled. We all chuckled. She was one hell of a flirt while on morphine. Seeing as from what my children tell me. She's been avoiding them. Which I don't have a clue why.

I heard a yawn come from those rosy kissable lips. Someone was tired. Most likely symptoms of the morphine. "Get some rest sweetie", Alice cooed to her. But surprisingly, Raina whined. "I don't want to go to sleep", she whined. I watched as Alice grasped Raina's hand in hers. Lightly pressing a soft kiss to her knuckles. "Your tired sweetheart, you'll feel better when you wake up", she cooed once more. Raina sighed, then she yawned again. "Fine", she said. I smiled smugly at her whiny phase. She is definitely gonna be a handful.

"But you guys will be back when I do come back, right?", she asked. Her eyes were too hard to resist. The very definition of puppy dog eyes. And I couldn't say no. Which I knew that I was screwed for the future. Seeing as if she gave me those eyes in the future, I would never be able to say no to her. "We'll be right here when you wake up sweetie", Alice cooed. Alice cupped her cheek softly. Which Raina leaned into. She closed her eyes as she welcomed Alice's affections.

I smiled to myself. Knowing that my beautiful mate would soon be part of our family. As ours. And soon she will be. And no one will be able to hurt her or take her from us. Especially those stupid humans who killed the rest of her kind.

She is ours!

And I will never let anyone hurt her or take her from me. No one.

She is ours and she will stay that way.
