Raina's POV

I couldn't look Away from the boy, no he wasn't no boy. He was a man. I could tell the difference. He had the man vibes. But it wasn't what he looked like that mattered. It was why I was standing here frozen. I couldn't believe it. The man that was standing right in front of me. Was my mate. My soulmate. I couldn't believe it. I didn't know what to say, I didn't know what to do. But then I heard a growl. I turned my head to see Jax growling at the guy. I put a hand on his chest. "Jax, calm down", I mumbled, not looking away from the man in front of me.

Then a pixie looking woman came skipping over to us. She had a smile on her face. She put a hand on his shoulder. "I see you met Jasper, it's nice to meet you two, I'm Alice and this is my boyfriend Jasper", she said. Boyfriend? I could feel my spirit just turn to dust. Fuck. Why would I think he would wait for me? I looked up at her, looking her in the eyes. I smiled. But then it happened. Again. I froze a second time. Fuck me.

My eyes widened. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck! I could feel my heart beat pounding against my chest. They both have the same colored eyes. Golden. Why does that mean anything? Then my eyes widened again. Oh fuck me! Fuck me! Fuck me! My mates were fucking vampires! Okay calm down Raina. Calm down. You need to calm down. "Raina, hey Raina, snap out of it", Jax said snapping his fingers in front of my face. I soon snapped out of it. "Whaaa? Oh sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Raina Marie Henderson and this is my brother Jackson Avery Henderson, it's nice to meet you guys", I said sweetly. I held out a hand to Alice to shake. She giggled and shook my hand in hers.
Cold hands. Check. Golden eyes. Check. Definitely vampires.

"It's really nice to meet you Raina, I know we'll get along very well", she said smiling a all teeth smile. Wow she was beautiful. Okay Raina snap out of it. I turned to Jasper. I held my hand out to him. He hesitated before grabbing my hand in his. But he didn't shake it. He brought it to his lips. He looked at me the entire time. I blushed red. He pulled back. "It's nice to meet you darlin'", he said. Oh god. Southern accent. Oh god that's hot. Very very hot. I kept myself from bitting my lip. I didn't want to look like a weirdo. But damn it, he was Hot as fuck. Very hot. I could feel my cheeks burn from blushing. Then the bell rang. Oh thank god. Saved by the bell. I smiled at the two. "Well it was nice meeting you guys, but we do have to find our classes, see you guys around", I said. I grabbed Jax by the arm and dragged him away from the two.

We soon made it over to our lockers. He turned to me. "Okay, breathe. Breathe ray, breathe, just breathe", he said. I breathed in and out. I did this twice. Before I had my breathing under control. "Okay, that's better. Now tell me what the fuck just happened", he asked me. I bit my lip in nervousness. "Well..........", I said ranting off. He raised an eyebrow at me. "Well what?", he asked me. "Well you remember how witches get a soulmate at some point of they're life?", I asked him. He nodded. "Yeah, but what does this have to do with all of this?", he asked pointing to us. I rubbed the back of my neck. "Well, Jasper and Alice May or may not be my soulmates", I mumbled. He seemed frozen for a second. Which didn't help the situation at all. But then he smiled happily. He wrapped his arms around me and twirled me around. "That's great Ray! I'm so happy for you", he said happily. He seemed really happy for me. Well, let's see how he feels when I tell him what they are.

He put me back down. I was still nervous, I bit my lip nervously. "Yeah, but that's not the only thing", I said. He looked confused. "What else is there?", he asked me. I laughed nervously. "Your going to laugh when you hear this", I said nervously. He gave me the look. "Raina", he said sternly.

I bit my lip. "They may or may not be vampires", I said clasping both of my hands together. He froze again. Before he turned his head. "Fuck me, this makes things complicated", he said. I grabbed his arm. "It doesn't have to be. They don't even know we're mates. They already have each other. I don't need to burden them with wanting to be with them. They already have each other. And besides. We're always running, I don't want that for them, I don't want them to have to run from their family, I've lived this long without them, I can live without them for much longer. Don't you see, I wasn't meant to find them, I was meant to run forever. They can't know and they never will", I said as tears welled up in my eyes. But my heart was telling me a whole different story. But I knew I couldn't listen to my heart. No matter how much I wanted to.

Jax just brought me into his arms. I clenched my hands around his shirt. "Hey it's okay, it's okay Ray. But you can't do this, not to yourself or them. You deserve to have love, to be loved, and you can't decide for them. No matter what you think, that's up to them, it's their decision not yours, we don't make the rules", he said. I sniffled. I looked up at him. "I'm scared Jax, what if I let them in and then everything goes to shit?", I asked him. What if everything just goes to shit? What then, what do I then?

He looked at me sadly. "Well we can't see the future, it's the risk we'll have to take. If it means you finally find love, then it's the risk we'll take, you deserve love and you deserve to be loved Ray", he told me. I sighed and wiped my eyes. "Fine", I mumbled. I may not like it. But it's not like I have a choice. Jax walked me to our first class. History. Great. Just fucking great.

Third person POV

Jasper and Alice watched the two as they left. Alice had the biggest smile on her face. It was almost scary. She turned to Jasper. "We met her Jazz! We finally got to meet her! Oh the others are going to be happy! She's so beautiful, so tiny and small, so adorable, I can't wait till we finally get to have her", she squealed happily. Jasper let a smile slip on his lips. He too thought his second mate was beautiful. Even if she was human. She was the most beautiful human he's ever seen. And the best part was that her blood didn't make him go crazy and want to attack her. Yet her being human made him want to protect her. "She's beautiful", he mumbled. He could remember the feeling of her skin on his own. The first touch. When touching her it felt amazing. He's never felt this way before, not even with Alice.

What a beautiful name for a beautiful girl. And he wants her to be his. And she will be soon.
