Chapter Thirty-Five

"Hey guys, sorry we're-"

"ANOTHER SLYTHERIN!?" A group of loud voices yelled in unison as Tracey and I entered the room of requirement. Everyone was now facing us and Tracey held her head low. How dare they be so disrespectful!

"Tracey isn't like the other Slytherins, I trust her and so should you. She's here to learn, just like the rest of us" I spat at the group of Gryffindors looking down on my friend and I. I turned to look at Harry who just watched the situation unravel. "Fancy keeping your followers on a leash" I hissed at him. Isn't he supposed to be the bloody peace keeper or some shit? Is that not what this whole thing is about?

Harry huffed before stepping forward towards the group of us. "If Amaris trusts her, then we should too. We don't really have a reason not to, right?" He asked the group who looked at him like he was insane.

"Yes! Yes we do! She's friends with Malfoy too!" A dark skinned boy who I know to be Dean Thomas yelled, pointing his finger accusingly at the two of us.

"Firstly, Draco's not my friend, he's my boyfriend. Secondly, we aren't going to snitch. Now get that into your thick skull before I lose my shit with you" I threatened the boy who glared back at me. There was an awkward silence for a moment before the two faces I love seeing stepped out in front of Tracey and I.

"I'm Seamus. Seamus-"

"Finnegan, I know" Tracey giggled nervously as she took his hand that he held out for her to shake. They stood holding onto each other for a little too long and I smirked as Neville cleared his throat from beside Seamus, knocking my two friends out of their trances as they unlocked their hands from each other's.

"I'm Neville Longbottom" he introduced awkwardly and I smiled at how adorable he is.

"Tracey Davis, nice to meet you" she said politely with a nod as she shook Nevilles hand and Seamus smiled.

"I honestly have no idea how you got sorted into Slytherin, you're way too nice" he said rather charmingly and Tracey blushed before Seamus nudged his arm with mine. "Except for you. I know why you did, bit of a bitch if you ask me" he joked and I gasped, faking a shocked expression.

"How could you?" I asked jokingly and he chuckled. I looked back over to Tracey who looked utterly confused.

"Oh, you two are friends?" she asked, gesturing between me and Seamus and I nodded.

"That's why you guys always caught me with him and Neville. They've been really sweet to me, I knew you'd get on with them" I admitted and Tracey smiled before turning to look at the rest of the students who just stood around awkwardly, waiting for Harry to begin the class.

"Right, now that introductions are over we can get on with today's lesson. We'll be practicing the Stunning spell" He began, looking over at me. "Will you be helping me teach today?" he asked and I nodded with a small smile, which he returned.

"Get into partners and begin practicing. The incantation is Stupefy, say it clearly and use the correct movements and you can't go wrong" He explained as everyone split off into their groups. I partnered up with Tracey, having Neville and Seamus practice right beside us. Tracey stood across from me very awkwardly and I tilted my head in confusion.

"What's wrong?" I asked, sensing her tension and she sighed.

"I could never quite get this spell. It's tricky" she admitted and I sighed. It must be hard for even her to admit that, Slytherins are supposed to be 'superior' and all. I walked towards her as I pulled out my wand.

"It's exceptionally useful in duelling, as it can quickly end a duel without causing any lasting damage. Of course though if you've never been in a situation where you've had to duel, you can't possibly be expected to master it already. Don't beat yourself up over it, this is what these lessons are for" I reassured her as I lifted my wand and pointed it towards Seamus. His eyes widened and he gulped. "Do you mind?" I asked.
