Chapter Twenty-Six

I woke up the next morning to the sounds of rushed whispering and I opened my eyes slightly to see Daphne's bed empty. My eyes traveled over to the opposite side of the room and I managed to make out the figures of Daphne and Pansy and what looked like Daphne's wand to Pansys neck. Whatever she was saying to her looked like it freaked Pansy out because as soon as Daphne lowered her wand, Pansy was straight out the dormitory door.

"What was that all about?"

My voice seemed to have startled Daphne and she jumped as she turned to face me with an unreadable expression on her face. She quickly turned it into a smile.

"Oh nothing. She was just being Pansy, said something about uh- Tracey so I told her to stop" She stuttered and I looked at her with a frown before she quickly averted her eyes to the door.

"Well i'll see you guys at breakfast!" she exclaimed before rushing out the door too. How strange...

"What happened there?"

This time it was my turn to jump out of my skin as Tracey's voice startled me. I didn't even know she was awake!

"Something about Pansy saying things about you, I don't know" I said with a yawn as I stretched my arms out.

"Nothing new there then" she said with a giggle and I chuckled before glancing over at the clock on the far wall.

"Shit we're gonna be late!" I yelled as I jumped up out of bed suddenly and ran towards my wardrobe to find my clean uniform for today's classes. It was 8:20 and we would barely have any time for breakfast if I showered so I decided i'd shower later tonight instead. I don't smell or anything so it's not the end of the world.

Once Tracey and I were dressed in our uniform and robes, we grabbed our wands and made our way down to the common room.

"Everyone must be at breakfast already" She said as we noticed the common room was practically empty, apart from a few first years rushing out. Probably late for breakfast too.

We walked side by side into the Great Hall and I noticed in fact that most people were already at breakfast, including the one person I couldn't seem to get off my mind after yesterday.

"Oh look, there's lover boy" Tracey joked as we walked towards the middle of the Slytherin table and I nudged her side playfully.

"Shut up" I said quietly whilst rolling my eyes as we approached our friends. Blaise nudged Draco in his side and gestured towards me making him turn to face Tracey and I. As soon as his eyes fell on me he stood up immediately.

"Finally awake I see" He joked before pushing a random fifth year out of the seat next to him and holding out his hand to me. I chuckled at his rudeness towards the poor boy but took a step towards him anyway as Tracey sat down next to Blaise.

"Why, did you miss me?" I asked playfully before taking his hand and pulling him towards me a little. He seemed in a good mood today and I was definitely going to take full advantage of that.

"Maybe" was alls he replied before leaning down and connecting his soft lips with mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck as his went around my waist, pulling me closer as I tangled my hands in his hair and tugged on it slightly making him let out a quiet moan.

"Cmon guys it's first thing in the morning" Blaise groaned and I smirked into mine and Draco's kiss before pulling away and taking a seat at the table, Draco doing the same.

I was day dreaming a little as the others on the table made conversation and I picked at my food when I suddenly felt a hand on the bare skin on my thigh. I jumped slightly and turned to look at Draco who side glanced me with a smirk on his face before returning to his conversation with Blaise and Theodore. I looked over and noticed Tracey and Daphne were in conversation too, thank god.

I tried shrugging Draco's hand off my thigh but this only made him grip me tighter and sent shivers all up and down my legs. It was too early for this! His hands suddenly began travelling further up my inner thigh and underneath my skirt making my breathing hitch as he got closer and closer to my underwear. I became increasingly warmer down there where his hands were until he finally reached my core, his fingertips brushing over my panties slightly and that's when I lost it and grabbed his arm suddenly, jerking it away from me before I exploded in a hot mess. It wasn't until the others sitting around us had all turned their heads toward me that I noticed I was breathing heavily, unable to catch my breath at the way he was making me feel in that moment.

"What's wrong Maris?" Tracey asked concerned and I looked at her wide eyed, unable to form any words at this very moment.

"Yeah, what is wrong, Villin?" Draco asked and I turned to glare at him as he stared back at me, his famous smirk on his face.

"I hate you" I muttered only loud enough for him to hear and he chuckled. I nodded to Tracey signalling to her that I was fine and they all continued eating their breakfasts whilst I tried to calm myself down. Wow that boy has an effect on me.

Breakfast had soon finished and the five of us had joined Crabbe and Goyle on our way to our first class of the day, Potions! Hopefully today I don't explode anything either, that would be most unfortunate.

As I was about to turn a corner, I bumped heads with the one and only Hermione Granger. Oh no.

"Oh Amaris! I'm so sorry!" She exclaimed worried as I rubbed my forehead slightly. I gave her a small smile.

"It's o-"

"Watch where you're going you filthy little mudblood" Draco's booming voice cut me off as he stalked over to Hermione and towered over her, trying to intimidate her and pushed me roughly out of the way.

"Get away from her Malfoy" Harry's voice was heard as him and Ron came rushing over from behind Hermione. This can't be good.

"What are you going to do Potter?" Draco challenged and reached for his wand as he towered over Harry.

"Sticking up for your little mudblood friend, Potter?" a voice said.

I turned my head and saw that it was Daphne. I looked over to Tracey with my eyebrows raised who looked back at me with the same confused expression wondering why Daphne would say such a thing.

"Let's just go Harry" Ron said, tugging on Harry's arm until he finally gave in and the 3 gryffindors scurried away, glaring at us over their shoulders.

"How pathetic" Daphne spat and Draco chuckled evilly before the two walked off together, Blaise Crabbe and Goyle following behind them whilst I stayed behind walking slowly with Tracey.

"What the fuck just happened?" I asked confused and Tracey looked down at the floor awkwardly.

"She gets like that sometimes" she said playing with her thumbs and I looked at her dumbfounded.

"She's called Hermione that before?" I asked shocked that our sweet friend could be so nasty.

I know it may seem strange that i'm so shocked by this, being a deatheater and all but I don't consider myself evil. I would much rather keep the peace than ever go out of my way to make someone feel shitty, especially someone as harmless as Hermione Granger. Pansy on the other hand would be a different story.

"Yeah but just leave it. It's not worth confronting her over okay?" She almost pleaded and I gave her an unsure smile before we head off towards our class. We were for sure going to be late.
