Chapter 20:  Telling the truth

Jenna’s POV:

It knocked on the door to my apartment. Before I could answer it 5 boys came running in.

“Jenna! Hey” Niall said.

“Hey boys. What are you doing here? What did management want yesterday?” I said sounding excited.

“Uhmm… That’s the thing Jen. I think Louis and you need to talk alone” Liam said.

“Why?” I said sounding more confused and less excited now.

“Let’s go into your room ok?” Louis said. at that point I was getting scared. What could it be?

“So… What’s up?”

“Jen… You know I love you, right?”

“Yeah… just tell me the truth, please. I want to know what’s wrong…”

“Ok… Management wants’ us to… break up…” he mumbled just loud enough so I could hear it.

“What?! They can’t do that! Why?” I yelled after realizing what he said.

“We think it’s because… We’re getting too much hate.”

“Because of me?” I said getting tears in my eyes.

“I don’t know why, but… I guess…”

“It is… I understand. But are we just going break up like that?”

“I don’t want to lose you Jen, but…”

“The band. Your dream. I understand. Let’s go out to the others, ok?”

“Jen… I love you, ok? Don’t forget that.” He said and pushed me gently up against the door. I looked him straight in the eyes. He was also getting tears in his eyes.

“I won’t. I love you too.” I said and gave him a little peck. “Let’s go.” We walked down to the boys who sat on the couch all quiet. I had never heard them be so quiet…

“So?” Harry said.

“I understand perfectly. I don’t want to leave you guys, but if I’m ruining your dream I have too.”

“I’m gonna miss you so much” Niall said jumping up from the couch and bearhugged me.

“Me too” the others said at the same time. I got a big group hug and one from every single guy before they went out the door. Louis was the last one to go.

“What are you gonna do?” he asked.

“I don't know..." i realised.

“But… we’ll never see each other again, right?”

“Yeah. But for now you have to live your dream. Maybe I should live mine too."

“This cannot go as the dream I had. I will never forget you, ok?” He said holding my head in his hands.

“I know… Wait, what dream?”

“That doesn’t matter. We’re gonna see each other again some time. Maybe on our next tour.”

“I would love that” I said and kissed him one last time before he walked out the door. I couldn’t believe it. No more us. No more hugs and kisses from the boy i love. No more...

I thought about what to do now. I didn't want to go back to my parents house. I realised that I needed to get out of London. Maybe I could forget about them and start that life I wanted. I packed my bags and called a cab. I drove to the airport and got a ticket to my hometown. I had laid a note for my parents:

Dear mom and dad

I have taken a plain to America and I’m gonna live there. You probably don’t even care. You were horrible parents! Elisabeth was the one who took care of me and after she died, I needed to take care of myself. You never cared about me. I hope you are happy. You have lost another daughter.

Bye.

The plain leaved. I watched London turn into a little spot in the horizon. I was gonna miss the boys.
