"Oh shut up."
---
With a laugh at my brother, I turn to the boy still on the bed. "Come on, Jas." He lets out his own exaggerated sigh, making me giggle more, and I lean over to playfully smack his arm before tussling his hair into a helpless mess.
After he finally gets up, the two of us follow Bellamy to the hangar bay, wherein we find Monty sitting down at a table, waiting for us. We both grab jackets, sliding them on. The arm has the Ark insignia, the same one that was previously for those in the high council. I have to bring my hair out from behind the jacket.
Back on the Ark, or really, when I first got here, my hair was (h/l), and now, it almost reached down my back, with cuts every now and then. It's tightly braided, credits to Octavia doing it yesterday.
"Monty, you ready?"
"Yeah, I am." He stretches, standing up. Pushing his long, dark hair from his face, he looks around, and then asks, "Where's Miller?"
"He's on his way," my big brother answers simply, and we all walk over to the rover now. Leaning against the mobile next to Jasper, we all watch as Gina shouts at a boy who's carrying the Starry Night painting.
"Zeke, I said produce first! Art doesn't go bad."
"Give me a sec" Bellamy tells us, and walks away to help out. He leans over, pushing my head away playfully before he leaves, strutting up to Gina. I can't help but roll my eyes after laughing at his antics. Bina is fine and all, but Bellarke and Murphamy supremacy for sure.
After a brief exchange, Bellamy comes back over, handing me an old, faded copy of The Iliad book. "Oh my god, no way!" I gasp, remembering all the times our mother had read us this story over the first sixteen years of my life.
He laughs a little, nodding at me with one of his light smiles, before he unceremoniously throws his bag on the hood of the rover. A very upset and disgruntled, "Hey!" comes from beneath it, and Raven rolls out from under on one of those car mechanic things. "Take it easy!" She shouts, glaring at him.
"Morning to you, too," he quips, not taking her aggressive attitude to heart. She grunts, pulling herself up. She grabs a rag, rubbing the oil from her hands. Bellamy tosses a gun to Miller, who seemingly has appeared out of thin air on the other side of the rover.
Miller catches it, then looks down at the weapon. I reach my hand over, and we share a quick bro handshake, that cliché one everybody does. Both of us had worked out our differences after being forced to work the same shifts by his father. A lot of it went to heing on the guard together.
"What? We can't shoot them," he questions Bellamy, and my brother continues unpacking the bag, handing Jasper a gun as he replies. He doesn't need to give me one, as I'd brought mine from the room.
"We can, just not to kill. That goes for everyone. Where's Octavia?"
"We're going outside the wall. You honestly think she'd miss that?" Miller playfully scoffs.
Laughing, I shake my head. "She would never miss that chance."
"Let's do this," Bell sighs with a chuckle, and I give him an amused look, taking the passenger seat. He walks away and shares a short kiss with Gina.
"I hope you don't mind if I play music," I smile, feeling an insane burst of serotonin at the idea of being able to remake the Add It Up scene.
Nobody protests my proposal, Raven pulling a seatbelt over her chest and locking herself in. "Go on," she answers. "It's a long ride." She then turns to my brother, smirking. "She's too good for you."
