What is happening to the plot line?
Sorry about the late update, it was final exams week for me.
---
Okay, so apparently I fell asleep for, like, five hours. And within that timeframe, somehow, Jasper had taken a different route than all the others, bringing me with him, happened into camp in time to find Raven before she had the whole ALIE breakdown, tried to get a wristband, and then also kidnapped Raven, and found Clarke on his way out.
How in the world did I manage to sleep through all of that shit?
Jasper is driving, though I did make the offer to take over. He shook his head at this, and an awkward silence takes back over as the rover brings us through the night.
"So, Clarke," I click my tongue. The blonde turns to me, tilting her head in question, and I sigh, shaking my head. "Nope, sorry, I've got nothing."
My boyfriend laughs sadly at this, and Clarke cracks a smile before turning back and watching all of the darkened scenery through the windshield.
"Raven still asleep?" He asks so he doesn't have to take his eyes from the 'road'. Being in the back, I glance down to the sleeping mechanic, and nod before realising he can't exactly see me.
"Yeah, she's still asleep," I confirm, and the ever tense quiet resumes.
"Jasper, please. Talk to me," Clarke begs him, and he narrows his gaze at her, stopping her before she can continue.
"I saved your life. That's more than you deserve."
"Uh, not to, like, interrupt, but... why are we mad at Clarke exactly?" I question, feeling rather out of place.
"In case you forgot, she stayed back in Polis when we needed her help. She abandoned us when we needed her," Jasper mutters, not even bothering to soften his tone.
Nodding, I press my lips into a line and swallow. God, this really is one of the, if not the actual most, awkward interactions I can ever remember having. Once a-fucking-gain, the rover goes silent.
"My mother let them shoot at me," the girl in the front seat croaks, audibly tearing up.
"I can see the appeal," Jasper huffs, and I lean forward, smacking his arm harshly, glaring over at him. He returns the look briefly before scoffing, turning back to the road.
Sighing, I shift, which causes my leg to erupt in pain once more. I shut the scream I want to emit out, placing my hand on her shoulder. She glances back to me, blinking her tears away from her blue eyes.
"That wasn't Abby. It was the chip. It was ALIE." My memory jogs, and I gasp, hurriedly ripping a small piece of cloth from the blanket over Raven. I tie it over her eyes as gently as I can manage, doing my best not to wake her up.
"What are you doing?" Clarke inquires, sniffling a bit. She seems almost startled at my sudden movements.
"She took the chip. If she sees where we are when we stop, ALIE will see, too. She'll be able to track us down."
