"It doesn't feel like it will."

---

It's been yet another week, and my memory, while hazy, reminds me of this episode. Clarke has been in Polis for a week, and Lexa is soon going to This Is Sparta that Azgedan guy from the top of her tower like the badass commander she is.

Kane had been able to schedule for us to have a summit with Lexa about working out a treaty, and he had, for some reason, requested that I come to be present with them. Why he asked, I don't know, but apparently, I've made myself a main character. That, or I'm a side character who gets to tag along. I prefer the former.

A frequent visitor to Arkadia as of late has been none other than Charles Pike. It took every ounce of my self control not to put a bullet through his head the moment I first saw him, or to at least send him to the ground and kick him around a bit.

The rover comes to a stop, and I look up as Kane calls, "We're at the Polis City limits. From here, we go on foot." I hop out, leaving my gun and knives in the back of the solarpower rover. "Lexa's guards will be here soon. All guns and radios stay in the truck. Her people will escort us to the summit."

Abby jumps down beside me, and we both watch Kane ordering others. When he's done talking to Nelson and Hill, he comes over to us. I dip my head respectfully, walking away to give them space, but what he says makes me stop.

     "What is that?"

Blanche answers with simply, "A medkit."

     "A medkit... from Mount Weather?"

Turning, I storm up to my fellow guard, ripping it away. "We can't have these, Blanche," I hiss, holding it tightly. "It's like Lincoln said, if Lexa and the others think we're moving in to the Mountain, they'll never agree to letting us make a treaty."

"She's right. We can't bring that into Polis." Blanche huffs, rolling his eyes, taking it from me, and putting it back in the truck. Abby storms up to us both.

"Don't take it out on him," she warns sternly, looking between the two of us. "If you're gonna be mad, be mad at me."

"Moving our people into Mount Weather puts our entire agenda at risk. You know that, and you did it anyway," Kane whispers, his tone harsh and thorny.

"Would you have preferred that I let Nyko die?"

Deciding to leave the two alone in their little lover's quarrel, I walk over to the front of the car, leaning on the hood and watching the woods. Hill walks up to me, to my surprise.

"Hey, you're with that Jordan boy, right?" He asks, and I narrow my gaze.

"Yes, I am. Just over four months now, sir."

"I was friends with his parents," I deflate. Neither of Jasper's parents had made it down to the ground with the rest of the Ark. They had died in landing with others in Farm Station, which Pike had informed us of after finding them.

"Oh, I'm sorry for your loss. I am sure they were good people, they raised Jasper well."

"They would have loved you. You really make Jasper happy, and I'm sure that's all they could have asked for, for their son."
