Determined to make Lincoln survive this season as well as not destroy everything we've worked this hard to accomplish, I respond, "I will make it work or die trying."
---
The moment I'm back at Arkadia, I announce the news. Hiding secrets does no good in this show, that much I've learned. I tell them the news of our coalition with the other twelve clans, the rules to that, the possibility of the war against Azgedakru, and finally, my new position as leader within the coalition.
Some were against this at first, but I was able to turn the tide with the point that Lexa recognised me as the leader, with showing off the brand on my arm. Without that, we'd fall not only to Azgeda, but the other eleven clans as well. That was enough to convince them.
After the announcements, I head to get some dinner, and I'm stopped by arms wrapping around my waist, picking me up and swinging me in a circle before letting me down. I turn to face my lovely as ever boyfriend, and stand on my toes, pecking his cheek.
With a smile, he leans down, his lips pressing to mine. When he pulls away, he rests his forehead on mine, our lips tapping with each word. "I missed you, Miss I'm Now The Leader Of Skaikru And You Better Respect That Or Else."
Giggling at his silliness, I wiggle back around to grab my plate of food, brushing against him. We head over to a table, our sides pressing as I begin eating.
"I missed you too, babes." Resting my head against his shoulder, I play with his fingers with my free hand. "Kane and Abby didn't seem to take the initiative when it came down to getting the brand, so I did," I laugh.
"Can I see it?" He asks me curiously, and I nod easily, rolling up my sleeve to reveal the evident brand of the coalition burned into my skin, the lines (white/dark) against my usual complexion. He winces, touching the flesh around it. I continue to explain, trying to hide my wince when he brushes the burn.
"Clarke is our ambassador. I know she'll do what's best for us--"
"We will be getting vengeance for Mount Weather, correct?" A voice pipes in, and I ball my hand into a fist, looking up at Pike.
"I will figure that out, how that happens is for me to decide and know, is that clear?" I stand up suddenly, challenging him with my eyes, still blacked out with the same warpaint as last night.
He returns my glare with equal ferocity, but nods sternly. I have a sudden memory, that of being in the classroom after my imprisonment. "Crystal."
When he walks away, I deflate, groaning. "Stars, I hate that man."
Jasper laughs a bit, kissing my temple before placing his cheek on my shoulder. "Why do you hate the guy so much? I get it after him, y'know, beating your ass back on the Ark, but there seems to be more to it than that." Whut-
Opening my mouth then closing it, I decide to simply paraphrase. "He just... gives me a bad feeling."
Picking absently at my food, I then drop my fork, tiredly rubbing my face with my palms, undoubtedly making the make-up smudge. But, I'd been on the move since yesterday, without a glimpse of sleep, and it was starting to take an impact on me.
