(Steven P.O.V)
walking around the woods behind rustboro was really calming and helps me keep my mind off things.
"Skar~" skarmory whined in bordem
"Go on bud I'm not stopping you, just don't get into trouble" I said patting him on the head before he flew off into the sky.
"A very energetic one that's for sure"i thought. I kept walking through the woods hadn't seen skarmory and started getting a bit nervous..............until
"GROVYLE NO!" I heard Ruby call out and ran over.
"Skarmory!" I said, Skarmory looked back at me before turning around to come to me
"Skarmory return" I said tapping him on the head whit his pokè ball.
"I- I I'm so sorry steven Grovyle was just playing and I gess he was startdle by Skarmory" Ruby explained. But that's when my eye caught something she was always hiding her one arm behind her back but why? I looked back
at her Grovyle and he was looking mad and giving a low growle.
"he was just trying to protect you" I said
"Pr-protect me?" Ruby asked
"Yes he must of thought that skarmory was a threat so
he acted on uncommand in order to protect you....that's something that can only happen between a strong bond" I explained
She looked back at Grovyle and smiled.
"Thanks for looking out for me bud" She said petting him.
"But you don't need to hurt steven, he's not like trinity, jack, Anthony and ian" Ruby explained
Her Grovyle walked over to me and put his head down and whined. I figured he was apologizing. I pet him on the head
"It's ok bud" I said
"Why are you out behind Rustboro?" I asked
"Oh I erm.......I'm trying to find a new member for my team" Ruby said looking down.
"It may sound stupid but every pokèmon I run into it just feels like there not right for my team" Ruby explained mumbling.
"Don't worry about it....it happens to every trainer" I said walking over to her
"E-Every one?" She asked looking up. I nodded
"Including you?"Ruby asked
I nodded again...
"Huh interesting" Ruby said....
Small rustles came from behind Ruby. I stood my gaurd they could be back, Ruby doesn't need to suffer like this.
"How long where they at it for Ruby?" I asked
"I don't l-like talking about it" Ruby said
"Ruby"
"No!" She snapped turning around so her back was facing me.
"You shouldn't be involved in my problems. It's my fault anyway why there bothering me like this" Ruby cried
"Grov" her Grovyle growled
"I-it shouldn't matter to you. You're the champion of the hoenn region. I'm just an average trainer doing what I can to make m-my te-team Stronger. I don't wanna waste your time steven" Ruby explained.
With that she recalled her Grovyle and placed her backpack over her shoulders and she ran off.
"What does she mean it's her fault she suffers like this" I thought....
The small rustles stopped and I looked at the bushes..
"Evoi~" an eevee called.
I got down on one knee and scratched the little guy behind the ear. It had green eyes just like an emerald and its fur was white like snow. an eevee in hoenn wasn't common so with that I pulled out a pokèball.
"Wanna come along little guy" I asked he tilted his head and then tapped his head on the pokèball.
"He might help improve her team" I thought.
