Chapter 18

(Ruby P.O.V)
I stood at one end of the battlefield and Steven stood at the other end. I sighed in an uneasy tone.
"Skarmory come out!" Steven called
"Everest let's go!" I yelled
"Use steel wing!" Steven commanded
"Dodge then use thunder fang" I yelled.
"Don't get hit" Steven called
Mightyena tried to jump and release a thunderous chomp. But Skarmory was way to fast. Flew around Everest and shot the steel wing.
"Mighty!" Everest cried
"Are you alright Everest?" I asked
"Tyena" Everest cried
"Good now use quick attack" I yelled......
Mightyena jumped and hit Skarmory in the side
"SKARMORY" Steven yelled
"Use thunder fang again" I called
Everest jumped and released a thunderous chomp onto Skarmory
"Can you still fight?" Steven asked...
It had to be an illusion or something cause Skarmory took off into the sky like it wasn't hit or anything.
"Use brave bird!" Steven called
Skarmory shot up into the sky only to fly back down and strike Everest with a crital hit.
"Everest!" I called Everest stood up and turned back to Skarmory
"K now use take down!" I yelled
"Steel wing go!" Steven called
Skarmory flew around Everest and shot the steel wing. Everest fainted.
"Good job girl but" I cut myself off and bulled out a max revive
"You never said they weren't items allowed" I said hold the max revive
"Your right I didn't" Steven Smirk
I blushed.
"Take this Everest" I said
Everest ate the candy like revive and stood up to her paws as energy filled her body.
"Now use take down" I said
"Dodge it by using brave bird" Steven called
"Keep your eyes in the sky" I yelled Skarmory shot down aiming for Everest
"Thunder fang!" I called
Everest jumped up to Skarmory releasing a thunderous chomp and landed........Skarmory fell and landed with a hard hit and fainted.
"Good job Skarmory" Steven said and recalled Skarmory.
'She has got battle strategy that's for sure. But she still had lots to learn' Steven thought
"Craidily get out here!" Steven called
"Take down let's go!" I called
"Use ancient power!" Steven commanded
Rocks fired at Everest as she ran at craidily and got hit by the rocks and fell.
"Everest?" I asked
She jumped up to her paws
"Good now use crunch!" I yelled
"Energy ball!" Steven called
A green ball of Energy hit Everest and was shot backwards and fainted.
"Good job Everest" I said
"Not pulling out a max Revive this time?" Steven asked smirking making me blush even more red
"Let's go Grovyle!" I called throwing Grovyle pokèball
"Use bullet seed" I commanded
"Dodge it then use confuse ray!" Steven said
Craidily jumped and shot confuse ray at Grovyle, Grovyle jumped back and shot the bullet seeds and Craidily fell but stood up
"Use Ancient Power!" Steven called, Grovyle got hit by Rocks that shot at him.
"Are you ok Grovyle?" I asked
"Gro-gro-grovyle" Grovyle growled
"Good now use bullet seed" I called
"Ancient Power let's go" Steven called. A huge explosion went off and dust covered the battle field and  I shielded myself with my arms Steven did the same.
But I couldn't react fast enough when I heard it.
"Use Energy ball!" Steven yelled
I looked and Grovyle was on the ground
"Good job Grovyle return" I said and recalled Grovyle, I looked back up at Steven
"I think I should call it off" I thought
"You ok?" Steven asked walking up to me
"Uh I uhhh I I'm fine" I said
"You wanna finish or call it off" teased...
"W-what n-no!" I snapped
"You sure~" Steven asked tilting my head up to look at him.
"Why the hell is he acting like this" I thought. I reach for Ari's pokèball
"Alright then" Steven said as he walked back to the other end of the battle field
"ARI USE WING ATTACK" I yelled
"Energy ball" Steven said
"Dodge it!" I called
Ari served to the side and Striked Craidily.
"Are you ok Craidily?" Steven asked
"Crai" Craidily cried
"Good Now use Ancient Power!" Steven commanded
"Dodge it than use gust!" I yelled
"TAIL-" ari chirped as she swooped in and struck Craidily.
"Craidily?" Steven asked
"Craid!" Craidily cried as it stood up
"Use mega drain!" Steven said
"Dodge I-" I was cut off bye ari falling to the ground....
"A-Ari?" I asked
Ari's wings slowly opened as she flew up into the sky circling around and around.
"What is she doing?" I thought
The fast and faster Ari went when I knew it Ari the swooshed down knocking Craidily off its balance.
"That was hurricane" I said
"That doesn't change a thing!" Steven snapped
"USE CONFUSE RAY" Steven yelled
A purple beam shot at Ari.....and it landeda critical hit.
I sighed
"Good job ari, return"
"You to Craidily" Steven said
"Its clear we did enough.....I mean we got through Skarmory didn't we" I asked myself under my breath
"You did put up a tough fight. It's clear that once your Grovyle evolves your gonna be incredibly strong. And not just because you put up a tough fight its because you're determined to win at any cost" Steven explained
I smile and looked down trying my hardest not to cry................I still did anyways, And i tackled him, wrapping my arms around his waist.
"D-do you really mean that" I asked looking up at him
He hugged back.
"I wouldn't have ment it if I didn't say it" He explained
"Thanks Steven" I said.......
