(Ruby P.O.V)
I woke up in no pain.
"B-but how" I thought...... I looked around the room
"Ok I'm at the pokemon center" I mumbled. I looked off to the side and noticed Steven was still asleep in the bed across from me.
"D-did he bring me back here?" I asked to myself.
"C-c'mon think Ruby think" I said putting my hands to my head, when I noticed the bandages and that's when it hit me!
"Steven followed me in order to help me"
"I gess he does care" I whispered
At the thought of it made me blush a little. I dug into my bag to find my phone.
"Only five thirty?" I asked myself in complete shock
"How long was I out for"
I got up and out of my bed and walked out to the balcony. The sun was just starting to rise over the dark blue night sky.
I took a long deep breath
"He only wants to make sure I'm safe, or why would he have followed me?" I thought. I pulled out ari's pokè ball and released him.
"TAIL" he chirped in excitement.
He landed on my head and looked at me
"Hey bud how've ya been" I asked
He chirped again.
"Pretty good here to bud" I said
I looked ahead as the sun came into view.
"Think we'll find anyone today or is gonna be like every other day?" I asked
"TAIL" he chirped
"Teh ok ok that's enough for you. Ari return" I said holding out his pokè ball....
"Morning" I heard Steven from behind me
"H-how long was I out for" I asked
"Ever since the afternoon of yesterday" Steven said placing and hand on my shoulder causing me to blush
"Oh Arceus" I thought
"You where pretty weak yesterday just from running. They took you head on" Steven explained
"Due to blood lost you did black out.....but just take it easy and you should be able to get back out on the road tomorrow"
"N-no I can't go back out it's not safe for me" I mumbled
"Pardon?" Steven asked
"You shouldn't worry about me I'll return home tomorrow" I said
"But why?" Steven asked
"You said it yourself. If they come at me again I should return home. I attempted to put up a fight and failed they came at me so I'm returning home" I explained
"No that's not what I said" Steven said. I turned to him
"Ok then what did you say?" I asked
"I said that it's not safe for you to be on your own while you're injured.....did I not say that?" Steven explained
"Well yes you where there with me" I replied mumbling
"Technically meaning you weren't on your own" Steven said as he looked at me
"I- you do have a point there" I said rubbing my arm
He took gently took my arm and grazed his hand down the bandages as he started to unroll it. Revealing a couple scars, A few cuts and bruises.
"The scars mean you've put up a fight to where you're today"
"The cuts represent strong capabilities within you"
"and the Bruises show strong efforts that haven't shown yet" Steven explained
"Ok being honest here, that doesn't make any sense what so ever" I explained.
"It means when you fall down you try harder" Steven said while wrapping the bandages around my arm.
"I gess I could keep at it" I mumbled
"But if they where to return and hurt me again-"
"They won't! And I'll make sure of that" Steven said....
"They'll stop soon enough" I thought
"Hopefully".
