Clint In The Gang (Complete story)

(Final part): Deal Or No Deal?

Nat looked to Clint then to Steve before pulling some handcuffs out. Clint interjects "That won't be necessary." But you stop him "Clint, it's fine. It will make them more comfortable. Plus it's not like I can do anything. I can barely walk." She slides them on before Clint interlocks his fingers with yours. Nat turns around wide eyed before whispering to Steve "We should send Clint on my secret ops if he can seduce his targets this well."

(Time skip brought to you by Sam and Bucky arguing over who could win an arm-wrestling match)

As soon as they wheeled you onto the quinjet, Steve began to question you but stopped him by putting your cuff hand up "I will gladly answer any of your questions once I have a lawyer."

He looked puzzled to you "What kind of surrender is this?" You shook your head as you relaxed back into your bed "The kind where I don't spill my secrets when death penalty is what is at stake right now." "We won't do that." Steve shook his head. You rolled your eyes "Yeah but I'm still not talking until I have a lawyer. Clint should know the number. Right Clint?" Clint nodded before Nat grabbed his arm and pulled him away "What happened to you? You're like a love sick puppy." Clint rolls his eyes too "They surrendered. Why are you questioning how I did it? Shouldn't you be happy that I'm not moping around." Nat eyes him but doesn't push him further. Before long, the quinjet landed on the Helicarrier. The team wheeled you down to the med bay where Nick Fury stood waiting. Looking to the team, he gives a simple nod "Good work. Especially to you Clint. Now I want to talk to (y/n)...alone."

The team left immediately not questioning him, but Clint stayed behind to make sure you were ok. Fury didn't speak again. He only squinted at Clint, waiting for him to leave. You smile to him before whispering "I will be fine. Remember, I'm a gang leader." He shook his head slowly before walking off. Once you both were alone, Fury finally spoke again "You are most likely going to get life in prison even if you manage to tell the Avengers everything about your little gang or you can take me up on my offer." You raised an eyebrow at him "What offer?" Crossing his arms, he begins to explain "Since you have a set of unique skills, I can offer you this. You will serve no jail time and we'll help rehabilitate you. We have state of the art technology here. You will be back on your feet in no time." You scowl at him a little "But? Where's the but?"

He nods, as he realizes you want him to get to the point "But, you will have to become an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. If you fail any of our tests to become an Agent, we will have you detained and sent to prison. This is not a deal I think you should take lightly so I will give you the rest..." "We have a deal." You said, interrupted his sentence. There is no way you were about to throw a deal like that away. No jail time and you will have protection. Not to mention, you'll probably be allowed to kill and get paid for it. Nick Fury wasn't expecting you to make up your mind so quickly that's why he was about to offer you a day to think about it. However, he does like how straight forward you are "Alright then. I will get our doctors down here to help you and when they say you're in fighting condition, we'll test you to become an agent. Good day."

With that, he left you alone with your thoughts. A lot has happened today. Most of your gang was probably dead or captured by the Avengers, but for the first time in your life, you're going to be on the good guys side. Weird, you've never considered yourself a good guy. You can't wait to tell Clint about Fury's offer.
