Clint In The Gang (Complete story)

Part 3: When Payments Due

After a few days pass, you decided to bring Clint on a run to get a guy that has about 30k in debt to your gang. You drive a Toyota sports car to keep a low profile to the guy's place with Clint. When you arrive you decided to sneak in the back door. You draw your gun before searching the place. As you make your way to the kitchen, a woman screams. The man you're looking for burst through a set of doors to see the woman staring at Clint. He immediately bolts the other way. You open fire, shooting him once in his left calf. He yells out before dropping. He grabs his leg as you walk towards him "Please don't kill me!" He begs as he looks to Clint thinking he shot him "I'll get the money to your boss! I just need time!"

You point the gun at his head "We can give you time if you give us half of what you owe right now." He groans as he spits at you "I don't take orders from some second hand." You chuckle as you go to dig your thumb into his bullet wound. He screams out before you pull your thumb out "Ok! Ok! Yes! There's 16k in the safe! Take it!" You look to Clint, he nods "On it." He goes for a bit until you hear gunshots. Clint comes out running with a bag before firing back at someone. You look to the guy "Who is shooting?" He grins "My guys."

You shoot him dead before going to help Clint. He ducks under a counter as he fires back. Fewer shots are being fired so he must have hit someone. You get next to him as he tells you "Two guys with rifles. I can draw them out while you shoot." You stop him "I'll do it." He nods as you get up. You shoot before he sprints towards the window. He gets into position when they come up some stairs. He does not take any chances before opening fire on them. They spray bullets everywhere causing one to shoot you in your side. You groan out in pain.

You feel it burn inside you but you decided to hide it by pulling your shirt over it as Clint grabs the bag. You both get quickly up to leave when you spot the woman covered in blood "We gotta cut loose ends." You go to shoot her but Clint stops you "She can throw the detectives off." You shrug "I rather not." You shoot her dead there. Clint freezes up at your choice. You start to run out as he starts to but just not as fast. He looks back at the woman. You go back to yanked him to the car. He hops into the driver's seat while you hope in the side. He sits there still in shock when you have to yell at him to drive. You both make it back to base quickly. Once you guys know you're safe you look to Luke before handing him the bag of money "Put that in the safe. It's a little over half of what he owed."

He looks over you before asking Clint "When did (y/n) get shot?!" Clint looks confused as Luke goes to put his arm around you. You push him off "I'm fine. Just get me the medic supplies." Clint looks over you "Why didn't you say anything?" You brush it off "Because it wasn't important." Luke attempts to put his arm around you again "Luke, I'm this close to sending us both to the med wing. I'M.FINE!" He says forcefully "If you don't let me help, you're going to pass out in front of everyone because you've lost too much blood. Which option you want?" You roll your eyes as Clint and Luke help you "Take me the long route." Luke sighs "You always have to make it difficult don't you?"

You give a small laugh as they get you down to the med bay. Luke looks around "The docs are out. We got to do this now." You sigh as you take off your shirt. Luke grabs supplies before getting some forceps to get the bullet out. He hesitates looking to you. You yell to him "Well, do it!" Clint takes it from him before going right in. You hold in your screams as he digs around. You grip the sides of the table as he moves them around. You bite your lip so hard it starts to bleed. He digs even more before getting a hold of the bullet and pulling it out. He disinfects the wound before closing it up. The adrenaline starts to kick in thankfully as you start to relax a little bit just enough to talk "Clint, you are many things. Where the hell did we find you?"

He smiles as he finishes "I don't live but a few blocks from here." You nod as he starts to bandage your wound up. You look to Luke "Can you handle the money and the cops? I think we can handle this." He looks over you quickly before nodding and leaving you guys alone "Than...Thank you." He laughs at you "That was hard for you to say." You roll your eyes at his response "Don't expect me to toss that word around often. Though you've saved me now two times now." He nods as he finishes it up "It's in the job description right? Save my boss?" You nod "Yeah I sure hope it is. So why did you join? I'm sure there wasn't a neon signs telling you to come here." He laughs at the sarcastic remark "No, I've gotten into trouble in the past and one of your guys got me out in exchange for me to join."

You think for a second as he gives you your shirt "Right, Ryan said you were good with a gun. Thought it would be a waste to leave talent like that in jail." He nods as you put on your shirt. You groan as you do. He looks over you as you get up but tries to slow you down. You stop him quickly though "If I hear anyone say "Take it easy" I'm going to kill them." He immediately backs off as you get to your feet. You leave him behind before going to the bar for a drink to help the pain. (Clint) As they leave, I get a call on my burner "Hey, yeah I'm in." Steve talks to me "How are you doing?" I sigh at the situation "I think this gang leader is going to be hard to pin down with the lack of evidence we have." Steve sighs too "We just got the report for the five-person murder. Did you have to...?"

I nod as I answer "Yes, unfortunately. Three of them were mine." He sighs "I can't believe Fury dragged you on this case." I can hear his annoyance "Yeah but I said yes to it. I need this since after you know...my family." Steve stays silent for a minute, not sure how to respond "Just keep thinking that what you got to do to take them down." I roll my eyes, obviously "Yeah I know." He must be reading my file for this mission when he practically yells through the phone "FURY ASK YOU TO DATE THEM?! I will go punch Fury for you now!" I stop him by yelling "No! It's fine. I'll be fine. This will be an in and out mission. I won't let my feelings get in the way." Steve sighs "Ok, be safe. We got to end this call." I hang up on him and think to myself "Steve you're so ready to be a dad."
