1 month later...

"Daddy!" She runs into her dad's arms. I stand awkwardly next to Ryder.

"Come here Emily." Her dad says. I join in on their hug. We pull away after a minute or so.

"Nice to finally meet the girl my daughter can't stop talking about." He says.

"Nice to meet you sir."

"Please call me Robert. Sir makes me feel old."

"Okay, Robert." I feel Madison grab my hand and give it a squeeze. I look over at her and smile.

We walk further into the big house and her mom comes up and greets us. Madison leads me up to her room and pulls me down on the bed.

"Hi baby." She says.

"Hi." I say with a smile.

"Finally a bit of time alone." I adjust and lay my head on her chest. She starts running her fingers through my hair.

"I want to marry you." I say out of no where, after a couple minutes of silence.

Her fingers stop running through my hair. "I want to marry you too."

"Emily, what are your intentions with my daughter?" Her dad asks.

"I met her at a pretty low time in my life. I thought I would never be worthy of love again but she taught me what real love is. She taught me how to open up and be vulnerable. I never want to hurt her because she means so much to me and I would never be able to live with myself if I did." I tell her. I feel Madison grip my hand under the table.

"Do you plan on marrying her?" He asks.

"Yes. 100%. She's the one I want to spend the rest of my life with."

"She's a good one. Good job Madi." Her dad says. I squeeze her hand with a big smile on my face.

"Hi Izzy!" I jump into the frame.

"Hi Em."

"How's Doug?" I ask.

"He's good." She lifts up the small animal.

"Thanks again for taking care of him." Madison says.

"Of course, he's being so good anyways." She kisses his little nose.

"Awwww. I'm gonna go live. Love you Izzy."

"Love you too."

I leave Madison's room and head into a random bedroom in the house. I go onto Instagram and start the live.

"Hey y'all." I watch as hundreds join.

I start reading the comments.

Why aren't you playing this year?

"I decided to take a redshirt season. As most of you know, I tore my meniscus the final game of the year. I've also had a lingering ankle injury for a couple of years, so I'm taking this time to recover mentally and physically from those and also because of the coronavirus."

What sport do you play?

"I play basketball at UNC." I say with a smile.

How are you doing?

"Thank you so much for asking. I'm actually doing amazing and I'm so incredibly happy."

Who's your favourite singer rn?

"I've been vibing to a lot of Madison Beer recently." I say with a small smirk.

Single?

"No."

OMG! WHO ARE YOU DATING?

"A girl who I thought I had no chance with. She's pretty cool, I guess."

What's your favourite feature of her's?

"I mean I love every single thing about her but if I had to choose, it would be how much she cares about everyone and her kindness. Her looks are just an added bonus."

"Okay y'all, I'm gonna end this. I had a lot of fun and I'll probably do this a lot more often. Okay, I love you guys!" I end it.

I head down the hall into Madi's room.

"We're gonna end up on TikTok Room aren't we?" I joke.

"Probably." She rolls her eyes.
