Weeks passed. A fall chill was in the air. I felt like every day was spent helping Draco in some way. Whether it was pouring through books at the library, figuring out new spells to try, or working with him in the Room of Requirement, most of my time was spent on him.
I sat cross legged in the common room, curled in a chair near the corner. People came and went, chatting away happily about the Hogsmeade day that was happening tomorrow. I hadn't even thought about my plans for Hogsmeade.
Suddenly, something hit my shoulder. I looked up, noticing a piece of folded parchment that had just fallen on the ground next to me. I looked up and around, noticing that Blaise was looking at me from across the room and smiling.
I grinned shyly as I picked up the parchment and quickly unfolded it.
Stop reading all the time and spend time with me tonight. Let's go play quidditch.
P.S. I'm not taking no for an answer
x Blaise
I looked up, giggling at Blaise. I nodded at him, signaling that I would go. I felt giddy, finally being able to spare some time to see him. I felt like I had been neglecting him, and our relationship, a lot recently. I dog eared the page of the book I was on and tucked it away into my school bag. Quickly, I stood up to bring it upstairs. Spinning, I nearly ran into Draco. He had just come down the stairs behind me, and he was looking absolutely exhausted. Looking around at the common room, he lowered his voice so that it was barely audible.
"I know it's Friday, but I could use your help tonight." he said, and I bit my lip. If he had asked me any other day I would have helped him without question.
"I-I'm sorry, I have plans. With Blaise." I said. His eyes narrowed at me and quickly flashed in Blaise's direction. He glowered at him for a moment without Blaise noticing, and turned back to me.
"Ditch them. I can't do this one by myself. It can't wait until Sunday." he pushed. All of me felt compelled to make up a story to Blaise as to why I couldn't go with him. Draco's exhaustion was present on his face, and I had been feeling like I wasn't much help in the most recent days. I spent more time reading off different spells for him to try rather than helping him with the spells. Draco insisted it was helping, but I was starting to doubt him.
Blaise had taken notice of Draco and I talking. He had a serious look on his face and was sauntering over to us.
"Draco, I can't. I'm sorry. I'll...I'll try to help you soon. Sunday, I'm all yours. I promise. I have to go." I said quickly, side stepping him and hurrying up the stairs. I dropped my bag off at my bed and saw Bonnie and Astoria running hair potion over their hair.
"Where are you going in such a hurry?" Bonnie said, looking around Astoria at me. "Alright, nosy, I have a date tonight with Blaise." I answered, quickly trying to pin my hair into a semi-decent style. I don't really know why I bothered much with it, because it just ended up looking like a curly mess by the end of the day.
"Look at you. Have fun, don't make a baby." Bonnie called, and Astoria and I both yelled.
"Bonnie, you are bad!" I said, throwing a clip at her. Astoria was giggling now, wiping under her eyes. Bonnie winked at me and turned back to the mirror she was in front of.
"I'm just being truthful!" she called after me as I dashed down the stairs. Blaise was waiting at the bottom and he smiled as he caught sight of me.
"Finally, I get some time with you. I feel like I hardly see you." he said, throwing his arm across my shoulders.
"I know. I've been just so busy with...school and everything." I said quietly.
