Bella’s POV

I get up and put my shoes on. Luke pulls me down again.

“No you guys should stay the night. I’ll help you do your homework.” Luke says.

I look around and the girls are pleading me.

“Sure I don’t mind.” I smile down at him.

“Ok sleeping arrangements. Ashton and Cecilia you can have Jack’s room since he’s with his friend. Calum and Maddi you can have the first guest room. Michael and Sam you can have the second guest room. Bells and I will stay in my room.” Luke says.

He pulls me on his back and takes me upstairs. I rest my hand on his shoulder, already feeling the sleep take over me. He stops in front of his bed, and puts me down.

“Hey do you want me to do your homework for you?” He asks.

“No I can do it.” I say, looking for my bookbag.

“It’s downstairs, I’ll go get it.” He smiles and goes to get it.

I walk around his room looking more closely to the band posters. He seems to like the same music as I do, that’s a plus. I look at his picture on his dresser. It’s him and his brothers, doesn’t seem like it was taken that long ago. Maybe this past summer. He looks happy with his family, something I want to bring back. His happiness.

“Hey my mom gave us cookies.” Luke chuckles as he sets everything down his the desk. I smile at him and walk over.

“What makes you happy Luke?” I say grabbing his hand, stopping him from digging into his bag.

“Bella wha-“

“Answer me question.”

“I don’t know, I guess music makes me the most happy. But I think something else makes me happy right now.” He smiles at me.

“And what’s that?”

“You. I’m not sure what it is about you but everything seems right. I promised myself that I would take a risk on you, and I’m trying. I never open up, but with you I feel like there’s no limit on what I can tell you.” He says looking into my eyes. I see the sincerity behind them.

“Luke I will never pass judgment on you. You make me happy too.” I say, putting my hand on his cheek.

“Thanks Bella, so now let’s do homework.” I was taken back by his words.

“Yes I do my homework. Don’t tell anyone but I’m a straight A student.” He says not looking at me. Wow.

“No judgement remember?” I say getting my math book out.

He smiles at me and gets his book out too. I lay on his bed while he sits on the floor in front of me. I hate math but I’m actually ok at it. He looks up at me.

“What?” I say not taking my eyes off my work.

“Nothing.” He says and goes back to doing his problem.

After I finish my work I hang upside down next to Luke, my hair tickling his arm.

“When are you gonna be do?” I ask getting bored.

“When I finish this English essay. I only have to finish the closing paragraph.” He chuckles.

I turn back over and look over his shoulder at his laptop. He’s writing about music, doesn’t surprise me. I get up to go look for one of the girls.

“Hey where are you going?” Luke takes his attention away from his work.

“To go talk to Cecilia.” I walk out and down the hall to Jack’s room.
