Mario and Luigi: The Stars Above Us

Breakout

Luigi was shoved into a cell with nothing but a bed.
"Well now..." the intercom came on. "Your punishment is...wait, lemme check the list...oh! Right, eternal sleep! Better get started!"
Luigi got on the bed, and entered his dreams.
"Luigi!"
"Dreambert?"
"Quick! You need to create a dream portal so I can wake you up in the real world!"
"But this dream is eternal..."
"I already took care of that as you entered the dream! Just dream up a portal!"
Luigi concentrated, and eventually, a portal appeared! Dreambert hopped out of the portal and woke Luigi, breaking the portal's link.
"Now what?"
Dreambert smirked and took out Luigi's old hammer. Luigi took it and smiled, busting down the door.

After a lot of door busting, everyone was in the hallway. Red lights started flashing. Everyone ran, and made it into a control room.
"Perfect!" Yoshi cried out.
"Wait, what?" Mario asked.
"I know how to rewire this for a self-destruct button!"
"Um...how?"
"Done!" Yoshi stepped away from the console and hit a red button.
"Self destruct in...two minutes."
The gang ran down the hallway, discovering some escape pods. They were only big enough for one, and one by one everyone took one. Eventually, all that was left was Mario, Luigi, Bowser, and only two escape pods.
"Someone has to stay behind..." Mario looked around.
"60 seconds."
"Oh..." Bowser stared at his old enemies. He used to want to kill them, but now they weren't half bad.
"Luigi, you should go," Mario suggested.
"See ya, green 'stache," Bowser patted him on the shoulder. Luigi used to hate that nickname.
Used to.
The escape pod left.
Guards ran into the room.
Bowser immediately went to fight them, "Mario, go!"
"But Bowser..."
"JUST GO!" was all Bowser could manage before entering the crowd of guards.
Mario looked for a moment.
"30 seconds."
Mario's escape pod left, following the others to Starship Mario.
