F*ck. Those intruders have damped me instead of you. How did that happen?

They damped us both. But since you are far more powerful, the dampener effect hit you harder. Plus the dampener affects all stats, except stamina regeneration isn't a stat in this world. Hence in that brief moment of your weakness, I was able to regenerate a ton of stamina and store it all away for the future. This should last me a bit.

Enjoy your power while you can. You will run out soon.

Ben went to the headmasters office to discus the notice he had received after then incident. He saw John walking out of the office, angry af. John didn't even look up. He looked like he wanted to kill someone.

Guess he got denied.

Yeah.

So what did you think of my offer?

I'll ask about it.

Ben entered the headmasters office.

"The answer is no. The decision is final. Though I assume that it is not the reason for you coming here now is it?" The headmaster asked.

"I have a question regarding your little experiment. I assume that transferring John into the dorms was a part of your plan all along, this incident just finally gave you a reason to do so. You want John to snap to try to change all the other students, to change their way of thinking. Am I correct?" The headmaster was silent for a bit before nodding.

"You haven't told John of this have you?"

"Of course not. I want to see the outcome of this little experiment, and I have the feeling that it won't be long before that happens. You see, I also want to run an experiment of sorts. You want to use a god tier to make all the powerful kids feel helpless, to get them to understand what their actions are doing to those around them by being on the receiving end. But there is a slight problem which will slow down the process a bit. They themselves won't be helpless. They won't understand the desperation that the low tiers feel. Not only that, but they might not necessary make the connection if just one person beats them up for no reason. They will just think that something is wrong with that one person."

"What do you propose?" Ben sat down in front of the headmaster.

"You see, a friend of mine wants to transfer here. He is a legendary tier. His power is destruction, with a side power of strength, diamond skin, shapeshifting and so on. He can practically do anything he wants. One of his side powers is to steal other abilities and give them to someone else, or use those abilities to heighten the stats of someone else's ability."

"And he is also a very late bloomer. He wants people to understand the same pain he felt, but he does so not by crushing their body repeatedly, but by crushing the very system they rely on. I've been making a list of everyone in this school who abuses their power by hurting others for no reasons. If we release someone like that into this school, the change would happen much faster. The mid tiers and elites would get the same treatment from all the people that they abused."

"I have never heard of such an ability user. With his power the authorities must keep a close eye on him."

"That's the best part headmaster. No one even knows he exists. He is like a ghost. Uncatchable and untraceable. So what do you say? Should I bring him to your school?" The headmaster paused before answering.

Keene helped Ben to his dorm. Ben wasn't carrying nothing but a backpack. But Ben could teleport things so Keene didn't question why Ben didn't have anything else with him.

There was already someone there and Ben was prepared to meet anyone. If his luck sucked, which it usually is, he would get Zeke or anyone else. He was prepared for the worst.

Keene knocked on the door to his dorm. A guy answered. A guy Ben knew to well.

"Hello Isen, here is your roommate. Treat him nicely ok?" Keene said, handing Ben the keys. Ben reached his hand out to shake Isens, who hesitantly did the same.

"Well I'll leave you to it" Keene left Ben and Isen standing awkwardly. When they were hanging out at the mall, Isen knew that Ben won't hurt him because Remi was there. But now Ben and Isen were alone. And they didn't discuss the incident at the interview and the ambush that followed it.

"So uuuuh... no hard feelings?" Isen asked, sweating buckets.

"You did what you had to do to survive. If you didn't dig into Johns and my life then Arlo would kill you. So I can't blame you too much. It's John you have to worry about. He is pretty pissed about what you did. I however don't care much. What happened between you two is your business. But if you hurt him again I will crush you. And even Remi's presence won't save you" Ben gave Isen a cold glare. Then he raised his hand and his room filled with things from his house like clothes, text books, a few plants and some energy drinks. Then he grabbed one for himself. He teleported a small carton of milk and tossed it to Isen.

"Cheers"

"Hey just a question. Remi has been a bit Ember obsessed. We asked if Arlo could talk to her. They went to discuss it over a drink, but if that fails, you think you can talk her out of it? She is hanging out fliers and tells everyone that Ember could kill them next and spreading panic around the school."

"I'll go talk to em right now. See ya" Ben said, before disappearing.

It took him a few minutes but he found Remi and Arlo in a random cafe. Remi was near tears, yelling at Arlo. Suddenly someone got up and spilled a drink onto Remi's head.
