Devil's Reflection

John summoned 6 spider legs and shot 2 towards Jake. Jake disappeared and reappeared behind John. John used 2 spider legs to block Jakes punch and the other 2 to push himself backwards. John summoned 2 more spider legs and shot 2 large beams from them. Jake disappeared and reappeared above John, only to get blocked by a barrier and targeted by 8 black legs. Jake twisted his body mid air to avoid hitting the barrier, and summoned his scythe, slicing the spider legs coming towards him before using the barrier as a jump pad to run away.

"Spider, beams, and barrier. Is 3 your limit or do you have more abilities backed up?" Jake grumbled, his arm slowly regenerating. John didn't wait for that to happen. He summoned more spider legs, reaching a total of 12, and fired a beam from 8 of them and 10 from his fingers.

Jake disappeared again, reappearing behind John and getting ready to slice him. John used the 4 free legs to push himself away at incredible speeds before using the other 4 to fire a constant barrage of lasers and 4 more to charge up a bigger blast.

"10/10 speed and power. Impressive. So you copy and enhance abilities." Jake dashed toward John with a scythe in both hands and aimed for John's torso. Neither connected as a black and orange barrier appeared between the two. The scythes managed to crack the barrier. John coughed up blood and expanded the barrier to push Jake back. As soon as Jake was far enough away from John the barrier disappeared and surrounded Jake and started to crush him. A bright yellowish glow surrounded John's chest and his breathing returned to normal.

"So you have regeneration as well. That makes 4 10/10 stats. Interesting" Jakes skin turned black, surrounded by a bright red aura, and all the cuts disappeared. The barrier came closer and closer to crushing Jake. Some students started to cheer the Joker on (expect Zeke who was cowering in fear. Jake's eyes darted around for a solution. He picked up a rock and threw it at the barrier only for it to shatter and for Jake to be covered in deep cuts. The barrier reached Jake and started to crush him. Jake elbowed the barrier, cracking it slightly, only for it to regenerate right away. John could hear something cracking. It was the sound of Jakes bones. But he didn't stop the barrier.

"Well this has been fun" Jake growled.

His skin turned red and the barrier shattered. Before John could even feel the recoil damage Jake sent him flying back.

All his injuries were gone and he seemed a lot faster and stronger than before. John shot some spider legs at Jake only for them to be torn out and for him to be punched back again. Before John could even land, Jake shot him with a blast mid air and sent a slash at him. Both attacks went through John's barrier. The slash hit him in the chest and the blast hit his head. John fell on his back and before he managed to lift his head, Jake was already standing on top of him. He grabbed John's head and slammed it into the ground over and over and over, only for John to heal it repeatedly. John hit Jake with an arachnid leg but it did nothing. Jake just swatted it away like a fly with such power that it managed to fly 20 away before disappearing.

"You fight well. And you managed to give me a run for my money. I would like to fight you again sometime which is why I'm letting you keep your ability" Jake glared at Joker with his sinister red eyes. "Learn to go beyond your limit. Then challenge me again after you do."

Jake stepped of of John and started to walk back to the station. The students made way for him and stared at him in terror. He just took down all the royals with one hand with only a part of his power. When someone stronger, faster and more durable showed up Jake showed just how much power he really had.

John stood up with the help of several spider legs and started to charge one final laser. His back felt heavy, his breathing was unsteady, he could barely move his legs without arachnid to back him up. He didn't have any energy to heal and his vision was blurry.

He tried to release the blast in his hands but they didn't move. The energy slowly started to fade away no matter how hard John tried to keep it together.

Before it fully disappeared he blacked out right before hearing a voice call his name.

"JOHN!" It was the last thing he heard before the darkness consumed him.
