"Ya know, if you actually want anything from me, you're gonna have to feed me before I die, got-damn it!" I called for about the millionth time today and it was only... Well, shit. I didn't know what time it was.

I banged my hands against the wall and screamed at the top of my lungs. By the end of the day, I was almost certain, my throat would be raw and my voice would be nonexistent. It would be worth it as long as I received some food. I was allergic to gluten, but I'd take a whole loaf of bread right about now.

Continuing to scream, the door knob had finally jiggled until the door opened. In walked Kilo. He looked angry. I rolled my eyes and continued to scream and make the walls jump with the bass contributed by my aching hands. With each squeal, he stepped closer until he was within arms reach of me. For moments, he stood silently, unphased until finally, his hand met my face causing it it to whip to the left.

My squeals and knocking ceased as I pushed my shedding hair out of my face and lightly grazed the stinging patch on my cheek. I whimpered, but finally firmed my emotions before looking up at him.

"What the fuck did you do that for?!" I grimaced.

"Shut up, Solana." He sneered, pulling his cigarette out of his mouth. "You want food?!"

Before I could answer, he stormed out and came back shortly with a box of Honey Nut Cheerios. He opened the box and dumped them on my head. They rained down on me and even though I could cut him for being so disrespectful, I ate gleefully as soon as he left, slamming the door behind him.

"Bitch," I sneered.

"Hurry up, Solana. We've got to get in and get out." Kilo rushed her as they speed-walked through a small grocery store located in the middle of nowhere. "Find what you need; and hurry."

Solana rolled her eyes, since they were behind her sunglasses, and kept walking. Finally, they made it to the beauty and personal care section where she turned onto the hair product aisle and grabbed two bottles each of a generic brand of shampoo and conditioner. Next, Solana grabbed some Dove body wash, and a few bottles of Cocoa Butter.

"Come on, Solana." Kilo demanded as the two left the checkout register and rushed out of the small establishment.

The young, female cashier happened to glance up at the small tv mounted in a corner adjacent from her station. It was on the news and the topic of discussion was Solana Rowe. She was brown skinned with freckles like the girl she'd just assisted and her hair was large and big much like the girl also. Coming to a realization, the girls eyes grew larger and her hands trembled as she grabbed the company phone.

Hey guys, so I think I'm just going to do short chapters to make this story easier on me. And this book should be no more than about twenty-five chapters at the least so yeah...
