"Man, I'm telling you," I hissed at the cop, "After the prom, me and my mans Ferg went to hotels. I got some action from my lil' shawty and the next morning I went on about my business. It wasn't until the day after that, that I heard about Lana going missing. I swear, man."

"Calm down, that attitude of yours isn't going to help anything. Alright, so at the prom, did you notice Ms. Rowe when she left?"

I shrugged and gnawed on the gum that was rapidly losing its cinnamonesque flavor, "Yeah. She left with her no good boyfriend Kendrick and her friends Isaiah and Ashleigh. I think they all rode in the same limo or some shit." I answered.

"Boyfriend? Her parents told me she wasn't dating." The cop responded a little thrown off.

"Right. Her dad's this big conservative Muslim. For the longest she had to wear Hajibs and shit like that. She didn't start wearing street clothes until our freshman year, and even then he made her wear baggy clothes. I still liked her, Hajib or not. Anyways, our freshman year, her dad got this new job that caused him to be out of town more. Her mom's a Christian and wasn't as strict, so when her dad was away, Solana could dress how she wanted then. Needless to say, the same rule with fitted clothes applied to boys; don't have them." I admitted.

"Right, so... Is there anything else? About her her parents, I mean."

"Uhm... Oh! Last year she started to rebell against his rules and so they've kind of been bumping heads lately from what I've heard."

"Heard?" Officer Coogler repeated, one of his thick eyebrows raised.

"Yeah, she talked to me a lot when Kendrick wasn't around. We were like best friends, I always wanted to be more though," My voice softed before I added, "But, I'd never steal her. I always wanted her to feel safe around me."

Coogler nodded, his arms crossed over his chest, and took a seat on the edge of the desk. "Anything else I should know?"

"Nah... If I think of anything else, I'll call you right away, though." I stood up, hoping that he'd let me leave.

"Alright, you can go."

As soon as I hailed a cab, I went straight home. I'd had enough of everything today.
