Hiriko could feel the discomfort weighing on her chest as she prepared to do something she did not want to do. Miss Allsundy, despite all her past crimes, proved to be a woman with a great personality, despite how much she tried to hide it between condensing words and evil smirks. Hiriko quickly reminded herself of the entire kingdom in danger and scolded herself for being selfish. She couldn't afford to put her own customs before the safety of an entire kingdom. Stealing her resolve, Hiriko leaped at the raventte.
In what seemed like an instant, the Miss Allsunday was lifted off her feet and into the arms of Hiriko, who carried her bridal style while jumping over the table in one fluid leap. With that speed, even Crocodile wouldn't be able to beat her to her destination.
Hiriko only stopped when she was in front of a giant steel cage the straw hats were trapped in. She lowered the startled female onto the ground. Apologies flowed past her pink lips as she reached into her pouch and pulled out a rope. Even as she tied Miss Allsunday's hands to the bars, her head was downcast and her apologies never stopped. Her apologies only increased in quantity as she saw Miss Allsunday physically slump as the energy was sucked out of her, due to the seastones littering the metal of the cage. Miss Allsunday, however, only smiled. Her cocky smirk is gone. Gently she nudged Hiriko's face with the top of her own head, in what could only be interpreted as reassurance.
"Don't worry about it, darling."
Hiriko's head lifted and her eyes brightened. Hurriedly, she thanked Miss Allsunday for her forgiveness and complimented her kind soul before jumping up and turning to run back to Vivi.
However, she had wasted too much time. Hiriko was too late. Crocodile had already solidified behind Vivi, perhaps abandoning his partner as he made no attempt to reach her.
Hiriko showed no sign of distress or shock, instead, her bow was raised once again. The tip of her arrow glistening with wine.
"Careful," Crocodile sneered, pressing his hook closer to Vivi's neck in a warning gesture. "Put it down."
The straw hats seemed more offended than Hiriko herself at the threat. In an instant, almost everyone was back to screaming at the warlord. Insults were thrown at the buff male and no one seemed to be stopping anytime soon, especially not Nami and Luffy.
However, they were soon stunned into silence.
Hiriko, with her head lowered in apparent surrender, started slowly lowering her bow.
Then, the noise erupted in the room once again. Luffy shouted. Usopp shook. Nami cried. Zoro glared. And Smoker watched.
Smoker stared at the girl with surprising intent. He observed every single move she made. Even as his eyes started to sting, he didn't stop staring at the female. Which was why he didn't miss the odd fashion in which Hiriko lowered her bow; choosing to keep the arrow and bow together instead of separating them. He was also able to catch the frantic fretting of her golden eyes around the room. She was looking for an escape route. She hadn't given up.
