Chapter 6 An Un-Gleeful Pleasure

I woke up with a start and I looked out of the window to see sparkles of yellow tainted into the fresh and cool setting. I looked at the time and it was around ten so I got up and changed into one of the clothes that they let us borrow. I touched the heart-shaped pendant that was around my neck. I swished it side to side to make sure that it wasn't some sick joke and it was still the same. I was starting to think logically about what kind of deal I made and...

'Was it a smart choice to make to a being like him?'

At this point, I didn't know what to think maybe this is what 'going crazy' is. I decided to wake the others up and they (Mostly Sayori) probably didn't like the idea of it.

Monika: "Alright time to get up guys!" I semi-screamed.

Sayori: Why...its like- hmm 4:30 three more hours..." she groaned sleepily.

'so this is why the players had to wake her up...interesting.' I thought as I shook her again.

Monika: "Look Sayori these people were nice enough to let us live here and get the job and all, however, if we keep sleeping in like this...well they'll start to think that we're slacking off and we wouldn't want them thinking we're lazy do we?" I said trying to get her up so she could wake the others.

Sayori: "Monika let me sleep- Wait a minute... I'm not lazy I just need beauty rest."

Monika: "Yeah last I've heard you were the first one to sleep so you shouldn't complain."

Sayori: "I'm not doing it I need more sleep!"

I had enough and just did my best to drag her off of the bed.

Sayori: "Alright fine I'll wake the others up!" She said.

I left her there and closed the door. I made my way downstairs to see the twins.

Mabel: "Hey Monika did you sleep well?"

Monika: "Yeah thanks for well everything guys." I said with a small grin.

Dipper: "Hey what that on your neck?" Dipper said pointing at the charmed necklace.

Monika: "Oh this its just a thing from bi- I mean my dad." I said almost saying Bill instead of my 'dad'

Dipper: "Oh."

Mabel: "Awe that's was do sweet of him. Wait don't the others have parents/ guardians too?" Mabel asked.

I just looked the other way while sighing softly.

Monika: "Well...heh I don't even know how to explain this properly." I said rubbing my neck trying to think on how to explain things. "Basically Sayori lived on her own and went to my house or someone else's whenever she was lonely."

Mabel: "Oh really? What about Natsuki and Yuri."

Monika: "Yuri's Parents were practially non-existent to her since they were on business trips most of the time so she was home alone as well but she didn't go over to people's houses like Sayori did."

Tw: talk about abuse/ death

Dipper: "What about Natsuki? I thought Mabel brought her up before Yuri."

Mabel: "Dipper it doesn't have to be in order."

Monika : "Mabel it's fine it's just that Natsuki...well has dad issues and let's just say that what he did to her...was horrible. She'd often come to me about it because she doesn't know what to do about him."
