Chapter 2-First Day on The Sea

"Sonic!"griped Knuckles,"Pay attention!"

Sonic was startled,accidentally griping the ship's wheel and pulling it side ways.The ship jerked slightly.

"Sorry!"he chuckled nervously.

Knuckles rolled his eyes,turning back to his job.His job was to look out for any dangers or islands.High up on the wooden like pole,he sat perched grumpily.Looking through his spyglass,he grumbled to himself.All was clear,yet still Knuckles couldn't put his spyglass down.He felt as if it was his duty to keep his crew safe.Knuckles glanced down at Sonic and scowled.

Even if he wasn't the captain,he knew that someone had to look over them.With one grunt,he continued his watch.Down below,Cream was with Amy,watching the waves of the sea.

"Miss Princess?"Cream as quietly.

Amy looked down on her,"Yes?"

She smiled,"How's it like...With being out of the castle?"

Amy looked off into the distance,staring intensely at the water.

"I miss my parents,but I am glad to be out for a while.Especially for adventure,"she sighed happily.

Cream tried looking at the moving water,"...Have you ever had a dream that you weren't certain that you could fulfill?"

Amy blinked,"Like what?Any dreams can come true."

Cream sighed,"Never mind...What adventure are you wanting to have Miss Princess?"

The young hedgehog smiled,running her small fingers along the wooden ship.

"An exciting yet devastating one,"she said sharply.

Cream furrowed her brows in concern and worry.

"Why would you want a dangerous one?"she asked in disbelief.

Amy giggled,"Because.Since I was a child I've had everything done for me.And now,all I really want to do is do something for myself."

Cream nodded,yet she still didn't fully understand.

"..What do you think about the pirates?"she asked.

"I don't trust them.But I know that if they try to do something,I'll be able to handle it."

Cream stood on her tip toes to see the water more clearing.

"But...girls are fragile.Boys can do a lot more than we can..."her ears fell as she said this.

Amy remained silent,then began laughing.Cream looked up at her with confusion and slight shock.

"You really think that?That men are better than women?"

Cream nodded her head slowly.Again,the princess laughed,almost snorted.

"Sweetie.Just because people think that men are better than women doesn't make it true.And now I'm not women are better men.I'm saying that we're both equal."

Cream pondered on this,"So..What men can do,women can do too?"

Amy giggled,"Exactly!And what women can do,men can do too."

Letting out a sigh of relief,she felt more confident than ever.Amy's words echoed in her head as she began to think more and more about becoming a pirate.She knew if she wanted to be a pirate,then she would have to climb the ladder of being one!She had to learn their ways and do exactly everything they do.
