Chapter 3-Rough Waters Ahead

A/n:Ok so I've been jam packed with stuff to do so the updates will be slow~Sorry :3 I'll also will be switching P.O.V's from time to time now

Cream's P.O.V

I heard the ship creak loudly.It was dark-except for the single candle light-in the room.I sat up abruptly,hearing muffled voices behind the door.Scanning the room,I realized momma wasn't with me.Since I was half asleep,it took me a minute to feel the ship moving around violently.I tried keeping myself in bed,but that was a failed attempt.I ended up being slung from my bed,falling right on my butt.I grunted,pulling myself up,trying to keep my balance.

My ears fell down,in worry of what was happening.I heard horrible screeches and loud muffled voices now.I stumbled toward the door,remembering to grab my sparring wood sword from the corner of the room.I was determined to keep the fear behind me,if I wanted to be a pirate,I must be brave.With determination,I made it to the door and tightened my bandana.

I pulled the door open with much force to find myself being pounced on.

"Cream!"

It was Charmy.I blinked,pulling him up as I stood.

"Charmy?What's going in?"I asked,trying to keep calm like Mr.Sonic would.

He tugged on my arm,toward the upstairs.

"I-it's Ms.Vanilla!S-she's-just come on!"he stuttered loudly,already pulling me up.

I tried slowing him down as we ran quickly up the wooden stairs.Still kinda sleepy,I tried not falling back asleep.Once we reached the top,the little bee's eyes widened in fear.It was still night,there was no storm,but the waves were clashing against the ship with so much force.Both of us almost fell back due to the water pushing us forward.

"W-What's going on!?"I hollered,seeing no one but us since it was dark.

Charmy was pushed up against me,wrapping his arms around mine.I held him closely,he was so tiny,like Cheese,my pet/best friend.He may be a little brat,but he sure was adorable and innocent.The ship tipped sideways,causing Charmy and I to slip.Before I knew it,him and I were pushed up against the side of the ship.My eyes widened when I looked over my shoulder to see myself leaning outside the ship.

I could see the waves so close to me unlike during the day when it was farther away.A scream escaped my lips when I felt myself getting closer to the water,like I falling down.Like we were sinking.

"Cream!"

I felt an arm wrap around my waist and pull me back.I looked up to see Tails,pulling me and Charmy close.

"T-Tails?"

He ignored me,his eyes squeezed shut.He dragged Charmy and I toward the center of the ship,away from the edges.

"W-Where's my mom?"I asked with worry.

Charmy remained silent as his grip tightened around my arm.Tails finally opened his eyes,but still was ignoring me.Scanning the deck,he gritted his teeth.

"We have to get off the ship!"Tails hollered.

I blinked,looking at him with wide eyes.

"What about the others!?"

Tails sighed,looking at me with hurt eyes.

"I-I don't know..."

My heart almost instantly broke.Tears began to form in my eyes as I thought about momma,Vector,Sonic,Princess and the others.I gulped,nodding my head.Tails
held my close then wrapped a free arm around Charmy's now shaking body.I didn't want to end my life,not now.

Women can do anything men can.

My eyes twinkled with determination as I released Charmy.Tails looked at me with confusion and worry.

"C-Cream?"

I just looked at him sternly before sighing.

"Take care of Charmy."

He blinked before I turned and ran.I heard Tails yell after me,but I ignored him.I was concentrating on keeping my balance,trying not to fall.I wobbled momentarily,noticing that the ship was now being pulled in a certain direction.I scurried up the rope ladder,now being able to see the water.Gulping,I continued up the ladder,reaching the top.I pulled myself up the upper deck,being able to see the sails fly around wildly.

I saw Tails and Charmy below,looking up at me with concerned looks.I smiled weakly at them,then ran toward the steering wheel.It was rotating round and round in a quick motion.I tried grabbing hold of it,only to be pulled down.I yelped,trying to stop it from rotating.Grunting with eyes closed shut,I used all my strength to stop it.With one battle cry,I tried turning it in the opposite direction of which it was spinning.

The ship tilted,but I still held on.I wasn't going to let go,especially not now.I gritted my teeth as I tried holding the wheel steady.It was twisting in so many directions that I was being slung everywhere.I felt droplets fall on my ears,it was raining.One by one,the water drops went down faster and harder.I felt like crying as the wind almost swept me up.

I almost gave up before a pair of hands held onto the wheel.I glanced over at my side to find Tails.

"Tails!?"I yelled over the wind.

He closed his eyes and tried pulling the wheel in a certain direction.Charmy started to cling onto me,hugging my back.I tried calming him down by saying it was going to be alright even though I wasn't sure.I tried helping Tails turn the wheel,it was much easier now.

"W-what's going on!?"I shouted.

Tails grunted,"It's a whirlpool!"

I gasped slightly,I've read about these in books.They were indeed very dangerous and could easily bring down the whole ship.I could feel us going in circular motion now and understood what Tails was trying to do and what I failed to do.He was trying to steer us out of the whirlpool,if we reached the center,we'd be sucked in.The ship rocked fiercely,my clothes now soaked in rain water.

I was staring to loose balance,and that wasn't good at all.Charmy started to wail with fear,shaking and shivering.Tails started to gain slight control of the ship.I could see off in the distance,a rock.But a huge one.I gasped,tugging on Tail's scarf like bandana.

"T-Tails!"

He didn't listen,he just kept steering.I then realized he was steering right toward the massive boulder.My eyes widened as I started to shake Tails.When he blinked and squinted his eyes,I knew just then that he had seen the boulder too.Tails tried yanking the wheel to the left,but it was much too late.I shrieked once the ship slammed into it.It rumbled with a loud thump,I could hear the wood of the ship tearing.

It was that moment that the force had slung me to the side along with Charmy.I screeched as I tripped over a wood plank sticking out of the floor board.A pain throbbed through my head,my eyelids got heavy.Everything was silent,all I could hear was Tails and Charmy.Their voices echoed,getting fainter and fainter.

And before I knew it....

I blacked out.
