"Miss Rumlow, you're on."

Olive nods and looks at herself in the mirror before making her way onto the stage in the activity hall.

"Hello." She greeted the crowd as her eyes scan over it, letting out a small breath. "I'm Olive Rumlow."

"Today, as you probably know. I'll be talking about my story. And why you should be confident in who you are."

"I was born September 24th, 2003. My mother's name was Jamie Elleson, and my father's was Brock Rumlow. My mother left, a few hours after I was born. She didn't want to be entangled in my father's bad intentions, but could not care for me on her own." Olive speaks calmly, her eyes on the crowd. "I grew up with my Dad, he was verbally and emotionally abusive, sometimes things would get physical. It all depended on his mood. When I was 8, I was diagnosed with alopecia. A hair loss disease, I have the worst type of it, alopecia universalis, or complete loss of all hair on the body."

Olive let's out a breath and takes off her wig, letting it fall to the stage below her. She takes a make up wipe and wipes off the make up eyebrows, pulling off the fake eyelashes. "I lost all my hair in a matter of months. Then when I was 9, I was inside the triskelion when it fell." The crowd looks shocked, mostly in how she survived. "I was in a coma for 3 months. When I woke up, I immediately asked for my Dad. Only to find out he hadn't visited once and was a fugitive to S.H.I.E.L.D. From that day on, it was just me."

She takes a second make up wipe and begins to wipe away the rest of her make up as she speaks. "The accident resulted in many injuries, I lost the ability to use my right ankle, they had to fuse my foot and ankle together, hence the walking crutch." She gestures to the crutch wrapped around her forearm as he holds onto the handle. She finished wiping off her make up, revealing a large burn scar on part of her face and neck. "I had 3rd degree burns on parts of my body, leaving nasty scars. On my face, back, legs, and hips. My body was stuck under the rubble of the triskelion for hours causing my body to develop chronic pains." She pulls multiple prescription medication bottles from her pocket and let's them drop to the floor. "It took me a long grueling 6 months to learn to walk again, after that, I was placed in foster care. I never really fit in, I was disabled, in the eyes of my foster siblings, I was less than them. I was useless."

She rolls up her shorts to the top of her thighs, revealing self harm scars on her thighs. "I cut, from the age of 13 to 17. I hated myself, and wished I had died that day. Nobody was ever there  for me." She rolls her shorts back down. "Despite being in foster care and nearly dying, I was great in school. And amazing with a computer."

"When I graduated high school in DC, I took a full scholarship from New York City University. I needed a change of scenery. So much had happened in DC, even though it was home. I didn't want to be there anymore." Olive looks around the crowd again. "I went for computer programming. Because I'd always been passionate about computers. And that's when I started learning how to hack. It was just a hobby forever. I never did anything bad with it, unless you count hacking into things to win a level to a game." The crowd chuckles.

"The first friend I made in college, was a guy named Charlie, Charlie Quinn. Asshole by the way, but that's not part of this story. We got pretty close as friends and he introduced me to his little family, which included his then girlfriend, Riley Rogers, her child Emerson, and their newborn Brinlee." Olive smiles softly at the memory. "Overtime me and Charlie drifted apart, while me and Riley became closer. See this is where I say, your parents squabbles don't define your friendships."

The crowd chuckles again. "Because as you probably know, Riley's father is Captain America. And mine well, he's pretty much his arch nemesis. My father tried to kill Steve, twice. But that still didn't keep us from becoming friends. Okay this is getting off topic. I graduated college when I was 22 and moved into a small apartment on the outskirts of New York. Around this same time, I got my first boyfriend. For his privacy we'll call him, Ron."

"Ron and I were together for about 9 months. He was a druggie and I caught him stealing my pain medications. He was also lazy and never did anything. As well as complained when well, I wouldn't have sex with him. Because well, he was an asshole. I never did have sex with him. Then I broke his nose and broke up with him." Olive sighs. "Then I lost my job, and then my apartment. And then before I knew it I was calling the only person I could think of. Riley Rogers. The one person who I knew would help me. So, after talking with her, I moved into the avengers compound. It was only supposed to be temporary while I got back on my feet. Then I met Bentley"

Olive chuckles."I guess the way we met could be considered cheesy. I was trying to carry a box to my room and he was walking the same way when I tripped fell, and well. He caught me." She smiles fondly at the memory. "Everyone knew I was special from the beginning because. Well, he's a baker. I'm the only person he's ever shared his recipes with. On that first day he taught me how to make his apple tarts. My favorite thing of all time."

Bentley leans into view from off stage. "Yet you still try and eat my whole stock!"

"Shut up!" The crowd bursts into laughter.

Bentley chuckles. "And then blame it on the kid."

Olive glares playfully. "You take your fine ass back off stage and hush up."

Bentley puts his hands up and walks back off stage.

Olive huffs and looks back at the crowd. "Now, where was I? Before I was RUDELY interrupted." The crowd chuckles again.

"So, after that first day me and Bentley got really close. He was my first boyfriend to treat me like a human, even with my disabilities. He would and still will, just lay with me while I'm having a flare up, cuddle me and hold me close. He even got me a service dog for my first birthday we celebrated together. To this day I still don't know how he knew I was on the waiting list." Olive chuckles softly. "Bentley was a lot of my firsts. My first time. My first I love you. He was there when I went little for the first time. And the list goes on."

"A few years into our relationship, I found out I was pregnant. Because yes, I still can get pregnant. I was stressed, I didn't know how being pregnant would affect my body, or my conditions. I was even more scared of being a mom. I never had a real mother figure. But regardless our little Elaine was born, and my god is she adorable. Things can get difficult, when I have my flare ups. But Bentley's the best man a girl could ask for."

"We got engaged the same day we found out I was pregnant. Then about a year and a half later when Elaine was about one. We got married. That was about six months ago.

"Our lives are weird. But I couldn't ask for a better one. My motto is, trauma brings wisdom and creates character. I never thought I'd say this, but I'm glad I experienced those things as a kid. I'm happy to be disabled."

And that's a wrap, for an introduction to Olive. I figured this would be a good way to do it, since she's very body positive. Even with her disabilities.
