*Mary POV*
*BANG*
*BANG*
*BANG*
I jolt awake from the loud banging on my front door. Whoever it could be has scared the life out of me.
I approach the door with my hand on the gun that is always now tucked into the back of my pants
Mary- "Who is it"
There is no answer from the other side, so I ask again
Mary- "Who is at my fucking door?"
The voice I didn't expect to hear comes from the other side
Oliver- "If I was you Mary, I would just open the door without questions. I am not in the mood to play games"
I carefully unbolt the lock and chain and turn the handle. Opening the door to have the metal barrel of a gun pointed in my face
Oliver- "So it seems to me that I found you before the police. Whatever will you do now, you ungrateful old wench"
Just seeing Oliver in front of me shakes me to my core. This man now holds all the power in keeping me alive.
Mary- "What are you doing here?"
Oliver- "I told you not to ask questions. Now you can tell me how my son has been put away for many years in prison and you are still walking around free"
**
Long after I have explained everything to Oliver, the old man is still sitting on my couch with an unreadable expression on his face.
Oliver- "So you are telling me my son is locked up because of your mistake"
Mary- "Yes. A mistake that shouldn't have even been born"
Oliver- "I am not a very forgiving man Mary. I don't put my trust into just anybody. But you my dear have royally screwed up and I am not going to sit here and allow you to blame your poor daughter for your incompetence, but I also am not going to let her get away with the bullshit she has spewed out. Such a beautiful girl she is. But Mary, clean your shit up and do it quickly. By the end of the week I want this finished with and my son out of prison. If I have to get my hands dirty, you will pay the price"
Oliver walks out of my house. I stare at his back as he walks out the door.
Mary- (yelling) "FUCK"
Knowing I only have a week to get Lucille out of the picture and not get caught makes me nervous. I don't want to cross Oliver but isn't making things easy.
**
This week is flying by. I only have a couple of days until Oliver will go through with his plans. I know he isn't bluffing and I will be taking a long walk off a short pier.
I have had the dealers out on the streets in Blackburn. I know that is where Lucille is hiding out these days but finding where exactly she lives is the hard part. I have had both cops tailed but everything comes up empty. There must be another house that they are hiding in
Today I have to go out there myself and see what is making the kids fall behind on the task at hand. Dressing up in a disguise is not what I have seen myself doing but my picture is everywhere around the town. I have even had to change my accent so I can at least talk to strangers
I have left my house and using a walking stick to put on my little performance. I see one of my dealers in the middle of the town
Mary- "Buggsy? Why haven't you been back to pick up your runs?"
