*Cameron POV*
Cameron- "Are you feeling hungry Luce?"
Lucille- "For food?"
Cameron- (laughing) "yes. For food Luce"
I lean up on his chest to look into his eyes.
Lucille- "Always hungry for food. Let's go"
We manage to untangle ourselves from each other. I grabs a pair of shorts to throw on. Lucille grabs her robe from the wardrobe. We walk out into the kitchen together and look for something quick and easy to cook up for dinner.
Cameron- "I can make breakfast for dinner?"
Lucille- "Do you have bacon and eggs? I could go for a bacon and egg sandwich"
Cameron gets to work on cooking the eggs and bacon on the stove while I toast up some bread. The conversation is light and breezy. I am finally learning more about Cam and his upbringing and how he got into the police force. I am telling him about being raised by that monster Mary
Cameron- "I remember one day in training camp. I was meant to be helping clean up a scene from a car accident. The scene had fake blood and guts everywhere. This poor newbie didn't have the stomach for the scene in front of us and emptied everything he had eaten that day straight on top of the crash test dummy sitting in the car"
Lucille- "OH MY GOD that poor kid. I bet you had the best laugh at his expense"
Cameron- "Of course we did. To become an officer you need to try and have a strong stomach. Clearly this kid didn't. He ended up going home that night"
Taking a bite of my sandwich and a mouth full of food I manage to say
Lucille- "You are a monster"
Cameron lets out a hearty laugh
Cameron- "The only monster here right now is you and what is chewed up in your mouth"
Swallowing my mouthful of food
Lucille- "You won't say that when I have a mouthful of your coc...."
Cameron's phone ringing cuts off the rest of my sentence
Cameron- PC- "Ainsley, what's happening"
Ainsley- PC- "Nothing good right now Cam. We have issues with Mary and Brandon"
Of course in the middle of dinner my phone had to go off. Bloody Mary and her absolute rubbish causing more problems in the area. Drugs are running rampant and cops are turning a blind eye to it all.
I'm not a prude when it comes to some drugs. The leaf doesn't hurt a soul. Just makes people hungry but the heavy shit that is hitting our streets is killing the town folks.
The cops in Hiddlebrooke don't care what happens on the streets. As long as they get their paychecks at the end of the month.
Lucille and I had a discussion over moving back over to Blackburn. Mary is following Lucille around trying to get her hands on her again. Here in Hiddlebrooke, the cops won't do a thing if Mary succeeds. If we get over to Blackburn I will have Ainsley and the station to back me.
I have requested my transfer to the Blackburn station. Instead of sending it into the Chief, I took it one step higher to the Police commissioner. The Chief would reject the transfer due to the corruption in that station. I know too much.
Within 5 hours of sending the transfer request, Lucille and I were packing up my apartment and looking for somewhere to stay in Blackburn.
Cameron- Text- Yo Ainsley, have you got room at your place for Luce and I?
