(A Kendall Story)
Chapter 6
All that came out of my mouth was... "Jamie". How the hell did she get deteniton? If I recall I was the only one ... she must have done something the 3 periods we weren't together. Or... she done something on purpose just because she knew when I seen her I freaked out. I know this sounds werid and makes me sound like a wimp, but I was a little, wait now terrifed of Jamie. The first year of high school she had a lot of drama going on and had her fair share of fights, and I definietly didn't want to go down that alley. Finally after I got zoned out I took a seat, far away from her as possible... just not far enough. As soon as I got my notebook to doodle I seen a shadow like figure coming towards me, it was Jamie.
"Hey Eve" she smiled.
"Uhm, hi..." I said with a blank look on my face.
"So, I want to apologize for earlier. I was way out of hand. You're right, I don't know Kendall... I don't know what I was thinking" She said.
"Yeah, you should be" I said quickly.
"Woah, I'm over hear trying to say sorry and you have the nerve to be sassy" She said.
"Yes I do. You had absolutely no right to talk about him like that, I'm done with you Jamie" I say with an angry tone in my voice.
"So now you think your tough because you have a boyfriend? Well let me remind you that you are who you are today because of me. Ever since 3rd grade I was the leader, I tought you everything and now it's over just because I called Kendall "Another on of the boys". Eve, let's call this a warning... don't push my limits, believe me, you don't want to see the other side of me" She said getting closer and closer to me.
"You really think that all of what you just said scares me? Think again. I've been your little puppet for long enough. And you don't want me pushing your limits? Well Jamie, you've already pressed mine. Like I said before, I'm done" I said !
"LADIES, THAT'S ENOUGH" The teacher screams.
"Eve, just remember... I warned you. And next time actions will be taking place" She said.
"Just save your breath..." I mumbled.
"Alright students, you're dismissed" The teacher got up and said.
"Remember I warned you" Jamie said while bumping into me.
When I started walking out of the room I felt my phone buzz, it was a text from Logan. "EVE WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU? I'M HOME DRIVING MYSELF CRAZY! CALL ME ASAP SO I KNOW YOU'RE OKAY"! How could I forget to text Logan or even mom and tell them I had to stay after. When I finished reading the text I called Logan to let him know I was okay.
"Oh thank God, you scared the shit out of me" He answered.
"Well, hello to you to" I say sarcastically.
"Eve, it's not funny. Why didn't you call" He said.
"Logan, calm down. I had to stay after, I'm totally fine." I say.
"Okay, well are you on your way" He asks?
"About that... can you come pick me up? Jamie and me had a huge fight and we're not talking" I say sadly.
"Are you guys okay?" He asks.
"Not really, can you just come get me" I say with a little anger in my voice.
"Yeah sure, I'm on my way" He said.
"Thanks" I say before hanging up.
Truthfully, I was ready to go home and relax. Today was the worst/best day ever. Yes, maybe I don't have my best friend anymore... but I now have Kendall, and he makes me happier than I've been in awhile. Suddenly I felt my phone buzz again, I thought to myself "Who could that be"? I took a look at the number and it came up "Unknown", I usually never answer these, but something told me I should.
'He---Hello" I say with a little stutter in my voice.
"Hey gorgeous" The man says.
"Kendall"? I asked a little confused.
"Bingo" He laughs.
"How did you get my number"? I ask.
"I have my ways, and plus it was on your schedule" He says.
"Ahh, smooth" I say.
"So, we still on for later" He asks.
"Of course. My brother is on his way to pick me up now, I'll text you when I get home" I say.
"Can't wait" He says, and I can tell he was smiling.
"Neither can I" I felt myself starting to blush.
"Oh, I almost forgot... I have a surpirse for you" He said.
"A surpirse, what is it" I ask with confussion.
"If I told you, it wouldn't be a surprise now would it" He asks.
"I guess not" I say.
"So I will see you later" He asks?
"Yes you will" I say.
"Awesome, bye beautiful" He said.
"Goodbye" I say while smiling.
After we hung up I couldn't help but smile for a few minutes. I was already happy he was coming over... but he had a surprise? Tonight was about to be amazing, I can already tell... and it's all because of Kendall.
