Chapter 22
Your P.O.V.
How was I supposed to tell Kendall that Carlos was threatening me and wanting to hurt him. I felt bad lying to him ,but I couldn't tell him what was going on.
"He probably sent that to me on accident. My name is probably under someone he needed to talk to" I said.
"Eve, what's going on. Don't lie to me. Kendall said in anger.
"Kendall, nothing is going on. I promise. Now I'm going to go get a shower" I say walking out the room.
Kendall's P.O.V.
Why was Eve lying to me? There was something going on, I just know it. I looked over to see her phone ringing, with no surprise... it was Carlos. Without hesitation, I answered it.
"Hello" I said.
"Ahh, Kendall. Just the person I wanted to talk to" Carlos said with a little chuckle.
"What do you want Carlos" I respond.
"Well, I got a little worried about Eve. She never did respond to my text.
"She's in the shower. So what's going on anyway between you to" I asked.
"Oh, she didn't tell you? What a shame. I don't think it's my part to say anything. Let's just say, you'll find out in due time. Goodbye Kendall" He said right before hanging up.
I couldn't believe her, she fault out lied to me. All I know is I'm done. I couldn't take this anymore, all my other relationships were full of lies, and I wasn't about to go through it again. I seen Eve's bag sitting over by my door, I went over to grab it and put her belongings in there. I know last night we made love, and I told her i would never leave her side, but I was not about to stay in this lie of a relationship. I heard the water shut off and her open the door, she walked in her room to see me getting her things together.
"Awh, are we going somewhere more private" She asks.
"No, we're not going anywhere. But you are" I say not looking at her.
"Wha-- what are you talking about" She said coming closer.
I pulled her phone out of her bag & showed her the phone call I just received.
"Why did you lie" I ask.
"I don't know what your talking about" She says.
"Oh really? Because according to Carlos, I'm supposed to know something. Now either you tell me, or you get the hell out of my house" I yell.
"Fine. Then I guess I'll leave. Goodbye Kendall" She says getting dressed.
"Are you seriously doing this. Is it that hard to tell me what's going on? If you would just tell me, I could help you" I said turning around to face her.
"Why should I tell you, no one around here ever believes me. Why should you?" She says starting to cry.
I go to comfort her, but she pushes me back and I land on the bed.
"Don't touch me" She says grabbing her bag.
"Please, Eve. Just sit down and we can talk all of this over. I know you're used to not having anyone there for you, but I am. And I will believe you" I say.
"Save it Kendall. I'm done" She said starting to walk downstairs.
"Eve, just listen to this one last thing... please" I say from the top of the stairs.
"What" She said rolling her eyes.
"If you walk out that door... don't ever come back" I say.
