You've discovered his secret. Meet me at the Lima Bean so I can explain the rest.

Kurt nearly passed out. He knew the voice. It belonged to one of the most repulsive teenagers in the world. He couldn't understand how Angel has found him.

He also didn't know how Angel knew Blaine. He was already on edge seeing as he had to visit his father that day. He had to explain how school went without tears so he wouldn't worry Burt.

Good luck with that Kurt thought.

He had too many problems to handle right now. As a result, he slipped away from the gelled boy and ran to their dorm. He grabbed the metal box and pulled out a sharp object. It took him a few moments to realize what he was going to do wouldn't solve anything.

Still, his arms stung like mad. He felt like he couldn't breathe. He needed some sort of control in this situation. Of course that was when Blaine decided to knock on the door.

"Kurt? Are you in there?"

He still couldn't move. He just wanted to dig a hole, crawl into it and die. Instead, he quickly put away the box and plastered a smile of his face. That was his first mistake.

*********

Kurt knew he shouldn't have gone. He honestly questioned his idiocy at certain points. Curiosity somehow always outweighed his fear. He couldn't stop trembling no matter how hard he tried.

He waited at the Lima Bean the next day, hoping for any sort of explanation. There was no one. Granted, Angel hadn't set a time, but clearly there wasn't a need for one.

That's when his phone buzzed, causing Kurt yelp. He didn't want to read the message. He wanted to just buy a new phone and forget Angel existed. Again, curiosity got the better of him.

Angel: I have you exactly where I want you. You and Blaine will be easily tracked. You'd think after last time you'd learned your lesson. I told you I'd kill you. I keep my promises.

Kurt quickly ran back to class. He was about a minute late, and he thanked his lucky stars that no one really seemed to notice. Everyone except Blaine, that is.

He'd seen the difference in Kurt since the day before, but Blaine was on the wrong track. He figured Kurt was afraid of him. Or just too shocked. They hadn't spoken since Blaine's mini panic attack.

Kurt wanted to keep it that way. One look at those eyes would cause him to give everything up. He wished Blaine's eyes didn't have that kind of power. It would make things a whole lot easier.

He had but one job: keep from telling anyone his secret. The worst part was hiding his attraction. It was next to impossible. Especially in the presence of boys like Blaine Anderson.

"Kurt?"

He'd already told Blaine a few secrets. Blaine knew more than Kurt let on. Especially with that stupid box.

"Kurt, I asked you a question."

He couldn't think straight if he tried.

"KURT!"

Kurt just about flinched out of his chair. His teacher clearly wasn't happy with him. She pointed to the board which held an equation Kurt couldn't possibly figure out.

He was quiet. He did try, though. Right as he was about to give a most likely incorrect answer, the teacher spoke again.

"In the future, Mr. Hummel, pay more attention in my class."

When it looked like she'd moved on, Kurt let out a sigh of relief. Blaine hadn't missed a second of it.

*********

"Um... Kurt?"

Kurt had been reading and immediately closed his eyes shut. Blaine's tone was curious. He would have to either explain, or lie.

"Yes?"

"I was just wondering... In class tod-"

A knock on their door interrupted the brief confrontation. Kurt was beyond grateful. It was Jeff.

"Blaine! Party this weekend! Check Insta and invite Kurt!"

Reluctantly, Blaine cut the conversation short. Both boys went straight to Instagram to find Jeff's recent post:

@Sebastian_Knows_All - Do we have to wear our uniforms?

@Dalton_Academy - lights out by 10 people.

Blaine's mood quickly changed into one of excitement.

"You have to come!" Blaine practically squealed. "It'll be so much fun! We can finally add you to the group!"

"I-I don't know. It sounds a little dangerous..."

"How though? There's a no bullying policy! You'll be fine!"

Kurt wondered how Blaine knew what he was thinking. While he knew there was a no bullying policy, he also knew bullies found ways around rules all the time.

He'd been on edge ever since his last encounter with Angel. Still, he didn't want to be alone in the dorm anyway. He accepted the invite in high hopes of avoiding alcohol and following Blaine around as subtly as possible. It wasn't like he really knew anyone else yet.
