Zee:
She stood over the sink, washing the last bits of excess hair dye out of her now straight and a light, sandy shade of auburn hair. She carefully dried her hair, then looked up at the image in the mirror. it looked nothing like her actual self, save the violet eyes. She repeated the mental list she had made of her new persona. "I am Zee. Zee Ryder. I am 17 years old. I am a Junior at Oakley High. I am in America as an exchange student from the U.K. My parents were American, but they died in a Plane crash on a business trip." She leaned closer to the mirror in the bathroom of the dorm she was staying in and lightly applied kohl and mascara. Then with a little touch of ombre lipstick, she headed out of the dingy bathroom, into the equally dingy room.
The school had 3 buildings - the high school, the college, and the college dorms. She had been given one of the dorms to stay in because she had no home or family. At least her persona didn't. No! She scolded herself. Zee, is not your persona. She is you. So you better start thinking like that or this whole operation is blown.
It was finally the first day of school. She had been in the united states for a few weeks and was bored out of her skull. She had been there on different ops, and it wasn't new to her. However, it was new to Zee, so she 'oohed' and 'aah-ed' whenever someone from the school came to show her around town, and explain to her everything about the American customs and culture. She glanced at her watch. 0700 hours. No. She corrected herself. It was 7 o'clock am. She was a school girl. They don't use 24 hour clock times. Whatever. She still had a half hour to kill before she had to start school.
It was actually 25 minutes, but she wanted to enter late to get attention. New girl, late on her first day? And she knew that the victim would notice, because she had carefully chosen her timetable so that it matched almost perfectly with his.
She was wearing something simple. Not too plain, but not too fancy. She wanted to be noticed but not seen as a troublemaker, or worse, a player. Her outfit was knee length camo patterned capris, a black off shoulder shirt and she let her hair loose. She also slipped on her converse hightops. Then slinging the backpack she had been provided by her employer (it was now filled with books, and the gun was removed but the nail varnish poison remained) over her shoulder, she set off down the hallway, and into the corridor joining the high school block and the dorms.
The hallways were almost empty, everyone having gone to class. Only a few people were loitering around the hallways trying to procrastinate entering class and dealing with the reality of life. She barely glanced at them, but they all turned to look at her as she passed. And college boys that too, she thought to herself. Nevertheless, she walked on, unfazed. She finally reached the corridor leading to the first class of her day - Math. She checked her clock. She was exactly five minutes late. Smiling, she walked the rest of the distance briskly.
She knocked on the door politely before entering. Zee was British, and she felt the need to prove that the stereotype of British politeness was in fact true. She walked in and stopped short. Worry and innocence crept on to her face as she saw 31 faces looking back at her. "Oh! Am i late?" She asked, lacing her voice with just enough of a British accent to sound genuine. She widened her eyes and looked up at the teacher. He swallowed and said, failing to resist the charm Zee radiated. "Oh not at all. Well actually, you are a bit, and tardiness on the first day...that's usually unacceptable." he said, "However, as you are new, and i just started roll call, take a seat. You haven't missed anything." "Thank you, sir" She said. moving to take the only empty seat in the class. The teacher nodded, obviously pleased to be called sir.
