A Guardian's Love

Chapter 1

You walked through the forest with your little brother collecting berries and herbs. The cool Autumn breeze sent a chill down your spine. "Y/N are we nearly finished" your little brother asks as he puts a bundle of rosemary in the basket. "Almost, we just need some thyme, we can get that near the stream" you say as you check your basket.

When you and your brother reached the stream you gathered some thyme, finaly you were done. Suddenly you felt something tugg at your coat, you turn around and face your little brother "What's wrong L/B/N?" You ask. He pointed in the direction of something, you turn your head and see a pack of wolves.

You could hear your little brother wimper "Y/N w-what do we do?" He asks quietly as he huddles close to you. You look down at your little brother, you knew what you had to do even though you knew it would be dangerous. "L/B/N... remeber the game we play where we see who can climb a tree fastest" you say quietly. He nodded his head his head slowly. "Good... now on the count of 3 I want you to run and climb the closest tree you can" you say as you hugg him. "W-what about you Y/N? I-I don't wanna go by myself" he wimpered as tears fell from his eyes.

You gently wipe you little brothers tears from his face and kiss his forehead and hugg him one last time. "1.....2....." you say quietly as you get ready to run, "3" you yell. Your little brother runs and climbs the tree quickly, while you run in the opposite direction the wolves trailing behind you.

After a while you come to a halt, you had reached the water fall. You turn around and face the wolves who were now closing in on you, you quickly glance down at the water fall below. You take a deep breath, closed your eyes and jumped, as you fell you didn't see the rocks below you fell. When you did it was too late you hit the rocks dieing instantly, your body sinking to the bottom of the lake.
