The smell of the sun as it sets
and the green grass under my bare feet
and the quiet, comforting hum of the air conditioner
are my favorite moments of summer.
The cool pool water as I dip my feet
and the lazy afternoons as cicadas buzz
and the tree as it shimmies and sways above me
are my favorite moments of summer.
The fluffy shapes of the clouds in the azure sky above
and the sweat beads racing down the side of my glass
and the distant roar as someone mows their lawn
are my favorite moments of summer.
The sound of my friends laughing around the bonfire
and the crackle of the logs as they split
and the s'mores singeing my tongue
are my favorite moments of summer.
