Round 10

Chapter One

(Zander's p.o.v)

Silence and boredom was all the room consist of.

We won the band competition, but now, we had little to no idea what to do.

Milly was on her phone scrolling through social media.

Sean was on his laptop.

Hailey sat against the wall with her legs pulled to her chest.

Luke sat at his drums just spinning in his chair.

And, late, as usual, Jake had yet to show up. Though we were all desperate for him to come and break the silence. Even me.

Finally, the door crashed open, and in came a happy Jake.

"Hey, guys-" He trailed off as he saw the situation in the music room, "uh, did something happen?"

"No, nothing happened," Hailey began to stand up.

"You're late again," I scolded.

Milly sighed.
"Oh will you give it a rest already Zander," She said.

I just rolled my eyes and looked away.

"Hey what's that," Hailey said rather curious.

I noticed that Jake was holding his phone, which was unlocked and had something open.

"Oh, yeah, almost forgot," Jake laughed and handed his phone to Hailey, "I heard about this cool paranormal game. I thought maybe we could try it out."

Milly shot up at his words.

A WHAT!?

"Round 10," Hailey read.

"There is no way we are doing that," I almost yelled.

The dead are not to be disturbed, I learned that the hard way. And I was not about to that again.

"What? Are you scared, Zander?" Milly smirked.

"What! No!" I defended myself, "There could be some really dangerous things that could happen. The dead aren't just a toy for entertainment!"

"I don't think this will actually disturb the dead though, Zander," Hailey said.

I was shocked. Was I the only sane person here!?

"This game has ten rounds, each has a temporary curse of some sort, and the game lasts for ten days," Hailey clarified.

"I'm with Zander on this one, that could be really dangerous," Luke said.

Yes thank you, Luke, this is why I love you! Well, not really, but sort of!

"See, Luke agrees with me," I said placing a hand on my hip.

"But, it could also be pretty fun," Luke also said.

I crossed my arms and turned away.

"What's the worst that could happen," Sean shrugged and stood up.

I couldn't believe it, we had played the ouija board when we were kids. And they were willing to go through that again!?

"You're all crazy!" I said.

"Come on Zander, it'll be fine. I'll be right beside you if something happens," Luke walked over to me and placed a hand on my arm.

That somehow made it better. I blushed a bit and sighed.

"Fine," I said, "but don't say I didn't warn you."

Luke smiled and looked over at the others.

"Alright, all we have to do is call a number, so who should do it?" Jake said looking at everyone.
