ELLEIGHS POV

"Hi, this is Cassidy from Kings Mill, and i was just calling to confirm Josh's appointment tomorrow at 6:00?" she said and i paused

Kings mill? why would they call for Josh?

"Oh ur yeah! Tomorrow,thats perfect"i said before she hung up. I trie to control my thoughts. It could just be a rountine checkup. I went upstairs to Josh's room where he ran off to and opened Josh's door.

"what are you doing at Kings Mill tomorrow? i asked and he froze. "i mean its just a routine checkup, right? i asked and he sighed

"Elleigh.." He said, my heart stoppped

"Josh! Whats going on. You have to tell me"

"Elleigh, I have c-cancer.." He said and i stared at him

"i dont...Cancer?" i asked, he nodded, not meeting my gaze. I sat down on his bed and stared at the floor. After a few minutes he got up andsat next to me. It seemed like we were sat in silence for days. Maybe it was hours, maybe it was minutes.

"Elleigh, please say something" he begged

"why didn't you tell me?" i asked, my voice flat and my eyes were still staring at the floor

"i dont know" he said grabbing  my hand. I didnt squeeze his hand back like i normally did. I couldnt even move.

"what kind?" i asked nervously as he rubbed my hand

"Osteosarcoma, stage 4..."

"oh my god!" i sobbed, and he silently cried with her. The lare sobs racked my body and his tears streamed down his face.

For hours he held my wrist while i cried until i tired myseelf out and fell asleep

JOSH'S POV

"is everything okay? i heard Elleigh crying" Matt asked

"i told her"

"finally? he asked and i nodded

"she took it better than i expected, she didnt leave me. scream or anything like that so thats the good side"

"im glad you finally told her" he said

"why did this happen to me?" the tears started rolling down my face agian and burried my head into Matt

"the worst things happen to the best people, mate" he said

i lifted my head and smiled weakly at him before trudging upstairs to Elleigh

"can i be with you tomorrow?" Elleigh asked slightly scaring me

"yes, of course you can" i breathed
