I drove to the location in silence and watch as Allison occasionally wiped her eyes and looking out the window.I stopped the car in front of a gate and a few minutes later the gate opened automatically, I drove in seeing a mansion it was a beautiful house I stopped at the front entrance, I got out and opened Allison’s door seeing she fixed her make-up and everything.
I walked with her to the front door, Allison pressed the door bell and a woman opened the door “Oh, Allison dear” the woman said “Bertha” Allison said while letting out a sob “Come here” Bertha said and gave her a hug I closed the door “Why don’t you go see Crystal” Bertha said and Allison nodded and walked away leaving standing awkwardly “Coffee or tea?” Bertha ask “Coffee please” I said she looked at me with a raised eyebrow
“Your king Luca” Bertha said “I am” I said walking behind her to a beautiful homey kitchen she turned on the kettle and turned to me.
“So, I am guessing she either told you or you have a lot of questions?” Bertha said
“A lot of questions” I said sitting at one of the bar stools “well Danica was the woman that organized a lot of things around here and most importantly a good friend to Allison” Bertha said “But that’s about it I can tell you, the rest is up to Allison” Bertha said handing me coffee
“This is an orphanage, right?” I asked “Yes” cam the answer “Allison is upstairs the second door on the left hallway left” Bertha said handing me a cup with white steaming hot chocolate. I walked to the room. Seeing the door open I saw Allison sitting on little twin bed with a little girl talking to her, she smiled at the girl nodding at something she said. I smiled it, it created a different feeling, emotion inside of meI knocked and Allison and the little girl looked towards me “hey” I said “Hey” she said looking at me with those dark brown eyes. I walked in “Hello” I said to the little girl she shied away behind Allison, Allison giggled it was like music “it’s okay Crystal” Allison said and then whispered something to the little girl.
“Your weally a king?” Crystal asks I raised my eyebrows “Yes I am” I said “So, your like her prince” Crystal ask pointing from me to Allison
“Yes I am her prince” I lied “you’re so awesome, thank you for making her life better like she made mine” the girl said giving me a hug
“I am going to go plway” Crystal said running offI watched as the little girl runs around the corner and a smirk was plastered on my face “So, I am your prince?” I ask now fully grinning
Allison blushed a little “No, my king my majesty” she said smiling but it didn’t have that sparkle that it had all the other times.“Tell me about this place and what happened today?” I said softly brushing her hair behind her ears “I bought this place for kids to make their world better, to find good homes for these kids meanwhile this their home, Danica the woman that died today was a best friend of mine
She was homeless when I have met her, she was married at that time her husband took everything and filed for divorce and kicked her out on the street she had nothing her job fired her the same week cause it was losing money, I helped her by her helping me
She was the head of this place and I told her no one should ever know I own this place I like my charity and the good things I do to stay hidden, I don’t like the world knowing my every move even though the think they do” I said staring into his pools of blues.
He wiped his thump over my cheek wiping away a tear I wasn’t even realizing I was crying.
“I am sorry for being a jerk to you before I think I learned my lesson on judging a book by its cover” I said to Allison“I think we all have somethings we like to remain quiet about” Allison said “So, besides losing a friend what’s the other problem?” I asked knowing with funerals and the person gone there are other complications.
