Chapter 10

I sat there “I can take care of myself” I said I had years of training in martial arts and I can take down at least two men at a time and twice my size as well, Luca scoffed

“well haven’t you seen me take out the big guy at home?” I ask I can do that in my sleep “This is different that man is a member of one of the gangs and that puts a target on your back” Luca said harshly

“if you hadn’t notice there are always targets on our backs Luca, we can be careful nice but there will be always people that want to get rid of us royals and plus it was either I punched him or you either way it would’ve happened and what done is done” I stated folding my arms

“Ugh fine but I still don’t agree, sometimes I wish my life were easier” Luca stated I quickly told the driver something and closed the window

“You know we are what we are but you can’t argue you enjoyed seeing that man’s ego being crumbled to the ground by a woman”
I said with smirk

“I would lie if I say that wasn’t a huge turn on, because you look hot with authority dripping off you” Luca said with a smirk of his own
while I was shaking my head a betraying smile forming on my lips.

“Where are we going cause, this isn’t the direction of the hotel?” Luca ask looking out the window “You’ll see” I said when the car came to a stop “Come on” I said and got out.
“Pick us up in an hour” I said to my driver and he drove off
we were at the docks and I bought us both ice cream “here” I said giving him his “Great I feel like a kid again” Luca muttered “I can always take it back” I said

“No I already licked it” Luca said sounding like a kid we walked onto the docks, me inhaled deeply hearing the ocean and feeling the breeze against my skin and running through my hair “I always came here when I was upset” I said “How many times do you come here?” Luca ask

“Too much when I began the business here things were a little harder so I bought a house here and stuff but the house turned out unsafe and now I still own it but I go stay in a hotel” I said
Looking at the darkness ahead black water beneath our feet slushing

“So, what are you going to do about the house?” Luca ask “I think I should sell it because every time if the word gets out, I am in the city people go to the house” I said
“Why don’t you always show your caring side to people?” Luca ask after a while I turned to him “Ask yourself the same question” I said
“Touché” Luca said eating the last piece of his cone

“You know it’s hard, harder for woman you are only looked up on as the one organizing charity caring for the homeless your basically
nothing your seen as weak and can’t make important decisions,
I vowed to myself the day I took over this kingdom I would be no one’s door matt I won’t let people walk all over me not even the council” I said looking towards Luca seeing admiration in his eyes.

“Show me your world?” Luca asked “What? Why?” I asked
“If we are going to do this, I wanna know you for who you are not what everyone thinks you are and what you let everyone believe you are” Luca said looking me into my eyes.

“Only if you tare down your own walls as well” I said looking into his blue orbs.

Luca stretched out his hand, took it “Deal” Luca said and we walked back to see out driver already here.
We got in and drove back to the hotel “Does that Greg friend of yours have a big mouth?” I asked “Why?” Luca ask “Well people are going to stalk us and believe where dating and all that shit” I said giving him a look “Ah shit” Luca muttered

“I will call him” Luca said taking his phone out of his pocket
Luca talked to Greg and by the time they were done talking we stopped in front of the hotel we both got out while shield our faces from paparazzi and walked up to our room.

I fell on to the bed face first “What a night” I mumbled “You can say that again Luca said getting undressed “So, you’re not screaming Luca why are you undressing in front of me?” Luca questions
