Chapter 12

Luca took my hand and we walked out back "Where are we going?" I asked "You'll see" Luca replied I rolled my eyes seeing my horse saddled and Shadow my horse's best friend you can basically say
"Who and how did someone saddle her?" I asked stopping dead in my tracks "Well I had to caught her myself and the saddling I did too she did had a taste of me" Luca said pulling the collar of his shirt showing a bandage "Are you crazy you could've gotten hurt or so much worse" I said staring at him in disbelieve.

Luca just smirked "I can't believe you" I said but couldn't help the smile forming on my face "Come on let's go" Luca said and mounted his horse I got on Twilight and rode after Luca on Shadow.

"Where are we going?" I asked riding besides him "You'll see" Luca said I rolled my eyes; we ride into the forest "Are you going to kill me?" I asked "Nah, but in the beginning, I might want to" Luca said with a sly grin.

"Oh, wow that so reassuring" I said rolling my eyes and then a traitor smile formed on my lips. We rode in a comfortable silence till I saw fairy lights around a beautiful tree and a pick nick blanket on the ground and a basket on the side.

I smiled "You like?" Luca asked nervously "Like" I scoffed "You just met my expectations of a first date sweet, rustic and not something fancy" I smiled staring at my surroundings in awe "I am so relieved" Luca said
"The great and powerful Luca sweating because of little old me" I said smirking Luca narrowed his eyes "You really acting innocent now?" he asked "what?" I asked "I know that you threw a knife straight at Ila's head the first day" Luca said I rolled my eyes "so, it doesn't mean I amma gonna pull the knife out of my boots and through it at your head" I said emotionless watching him squirm in the saddle

"You seriously brought a knife?" Luca asked "Yes, I always have some sort of weapons on me" I said with a shrug and got off.

"I can't believe you" Luca said shaking his head "You know you don't have to I can still throw it at your head" I said flatly like it's an ordinary topic "Who thought you that anyway cause your no ordinary princess slash queen?" Luca ask as we walked to the blanket, I sat down I smiled

"My brother" I said smiling thinking back of the day I was eight

"Why A do I have to learn this?" I asked

after failing again holding the knife in my hand looking up at Aden
"Because I won't always be there to protect you Alli" Aden replied "Now try it again" Aden said helping me.

"He was always protective of you?" Luca asked I nodded and gave him half a smile "I am sorry bringing him up" Luca said "it's okay I am used to it" I said looking in the distance.
"but, the feeling would never go away" Luca said looking straight into my eyes "Yeah, tell me about yours" I said looking into his blue orbs "I have lost my best friend, it was the worst day of my life, we were messing around in the forest outside of castle boundaries and he got shot point blank" Luca said he had this dull look in his eyes as he relived the moment.

"It must have been awful" I said looking at him "Yeah, I was almost grounded till I was 80" Luca joked to lighten the mood. "Well you still look quite dashing for an 80-year-old man" I joked in British accent
Luca gave a hearty laugh his eyes sparkling like the sun shining on the ocean.

"Well done you caught on to my greatest secret" Luca joked while eating a chocolate covered marshmallow "I have a question though" Luca said giving me a sideways glance "Yeah?" I said while popping a mini cheesecake in my mouth "Why the accent and the bare feet in the castle when it's like against the rules?" Luca asked
"Well done, you found one of my greatest secrets: my rebellion, well to answer your question I hate wearing dresses that much and walking in damn heels the whole day so, I just act in front of everybody like the proper lady and when nobody pays attention I am myself an easy going girl that loves the outdoors more" I said explaining myself
