"Jaxton?" I said we were now sitting by the fireplace in the living room drinking wine while eating pizza "Yeah?" Jaxton replied now looking at me.

"You mentioned that at least every royal has a dark secret or past..." I started "And you want to know...?" Jaxton asks "Has Greyson ever done anything that dark or bad?" I ask looking at him, Jaxton sighs

"Well it is Greyson, he lost you when he was younger, your parents died in the war, but I am not aware of anything dark or bad he has done so far, he did for a while shut down, but Allison dragged him out of that dark hole" Jaxton said

"Oh, it must have been terrible" I said looking at the wine glass in my hand I have barely taken two sips to scare to tap into the darkness alcohol comes with.

"You know your drinking that wine so slow it won't do any harm and plus I am here, I won't let you do anything you will regret" Jaxton said "I know it still kinda bothers me that someone else knows" I said with a sigh.

"Trust me I am not too much of a talker" Jaxton said standing up and came to sit next to me, I almost jumped when he came to sit next to me. "I don't bite" he says coming to sit next to me.

"I know" I said looking down "the test wasn't the only thing that man did to you was it" Jaxton said I froze how did he pick that up. "You bite your lip when you get nervous and when you lie you twist hair around your finger."

I realized he was right, damn him for being for being so observant "I can't tell you; you will tell me like all the other it was something I was asking for" I said looking down

"Try me" Jaxton said grabbing my hands with his larger one and holding my chin up to force me to look into that icy eyes.

"I..." I said and tried to avoid his eyes "just try you will never get over it if you don't talk" he said releasing my hands, it made me miss his touch his hands were rough like he worked a lot with his hands.

"he took advantage of me, it was the most awful night of my life no one believed me afterwards everyone told me I was just a lying piece of trash some even called me a slut looking for attention" I burst out in tears

I looked up through my teared vision seeing Jaxton shake fist balled and jaw clenched and he shook he stood up and grab a chair and smashed it broken against the wall making me jump in my seat.

"That son of a bitch deserved what you did to him and you have no reason to even feel and a bit guilty" Jaxton said out in ragged breathes

"I better never meet this son of bitch or I will kill him with my bare hands" Jaxton said furiously.
"why do you care so much?" I ask looking up at him through my wet eyelashes "Don't you see, I don't bat an eyelash twice for any woman but I want to protect you from the nightmares chasing you, I never had that connection with any one that has that spark

I don't believe in love at first sight but I do believe in a click, and you didn't throw yourself at me like any other woman, you know why?" Jaxton asks

I shook my head "Because you are not any other woman, you have darkness and you are stronger than it and I have a lot of baggage as well, but I finally think you're the light in my darkness" Jaxton said looking intensely at me.

"I mean I can help you escape yours and I do believe you can help me escape mine" Jaxton said now holding my hands in his.

"I want you to feel like your old self again find happiness" Jaxton explained looking at me.
"But we don't know each other at all" I said "Then let us get to know each other, let me tell you I will always protect you like I protect Allison and Ila" Jaxton said and came to me and gave me a hug and a kiss on the top of my head.
