Chapter 1

Irene nudged Jennie who is busy doing her math assignment.

"Jennie, look who's coming this way?!" she pointed the guy walking towards them.

"Oh my god!" Yeri squealed. "Kai is walking towards us!" She's talking about the campus heartthrob of in their University, Kim Jongin (aka Kai).

"Oh Kai of my life!" exclaimed Mina while holding her chest dramatically.

"You two are over reacting!" Irene while she rolls her eyes. "Kai is here for Jennie and not you guys so better stop your drama"

"So? Just a glimpse of him will make our life complete you know." Yeri said while following every Kai's steps.

"Yah! You two should stop!" Jennie scolded them irritated. "Be ashamed of yourselves! Why do you swoon over that guy? He is so full of himself god!"

"Yah Jennie you're no fun!" Mina frowned but immediately vanished and smiled sweetly when she looked at the person they are talking about. "Hello, Kai."

Kai smiled charmingly.

"Hello girls" He went straight to Jennie while lifting his foot on the bench where she is seated.

"Hello beautiful.."

Jennie answered with faked a smile just so she doesn't appear like a snob. However the smile doesn't suggest any welcoming note for him to invite her somewhere. She just smiled for the purpose of being polite. She doesn't like him. He is too sure of himself because every girl has a crush on him. Including her friends!

But not her.

"It's still early; I would like to invite you and your friends for a snack. My treat." He said giving emphasis on the last part. He was staring at Jennie while talking. He was smiling confidently. He knows how lethal that smile is when it comes to girls.

"Sure!" Her friends agreed in unison.

"We are actually headed to----..." Jennie elbowed Mina forcefully which made her stop.

"Thank you but I have a lot of homework to finish Kai" Jennie reasoned out while faking another smile.

"You said you just finished---" Jennie cut her again. "But of course you can go, girls" she said sweetly. Beneath her smile is irritation. "Besides, Kai invited you, it'll be rude if you won't go right?'

The two girls almost groaned. They know that Kai wants to be with Jennie and knowing them four, they're inseparable.

"Thanks for inviting , maybe next time if Jennie isn't busy anymore."

"Why can't I invite you to anything Jennie?" he asked in frustration. "Am I not enough yet?"

Jennie rolled her eyes. "You're almost perfect, Kim Jongin." Sarcasm laced her voice. "I have nothing to ask for, it's just the timing is bad, I have a lot of homework. Okay?"

Kai went silent and his face suddenly dimmed. He just shrugged his shoulders and smiled.

"Alright, what can I do? See you around, girls'" he said then left.

"Bye!" they chorused.

When he left, Jennie opened her bag to get her notebooks as if she's really doing something.

"Jennie yah! Why are you like that? You know for a fact that you're already done with your homework." Mina screamed.

"I don't get you, why are you always rude to him?" Yeri scoffed.

"Rude? I smiled didn't I?"

"I don't know if you're blind or just playing coy" Irene said coldly. "There are so many girls who want to be in your position right now. But you...." She said in a disappointed manner.
