Chapter 7

"You'll be eighteen in a few weeks, Jennie" Irene said while Lisa is at counter buying some snacks for them.

"So, what are your plans?" Mina questioned curiously.

Jennie shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know but I'm sure mom and dad are planning to have a party."

"Don't you have plans on breaking up with Lisa?" Yeri added. "Don't tell me, she'll gonna be your partner on your debut party?" she's eyeing her intently while smirking.

Jennie immediately glanced at her friend. She and Lisa have been dating for a month now and there's nothing she can complain about her. She has been very sweet and attentive to her. She must admit that she is happy being with Lisa. Lisa is funny and romantic at the same time. There's no day that she didn't laugh sincerely when they're together. She has been enjoying being her girlfriend that she forgot that she's only dating her because of a stupid dare.

"Remember, you are only dating her to prevent Kai from pestering you. It seems like you wanted her permanently, Jennie." Yeri raised her brows. Jennie doesn't like the tone of her voice. She just wanted to shut the fuck up and mind her stupid business. She took a deep breath to calm her nerves.

"So what if they become a true couple?" Irene butts in. "Lisa is very kind and sweet."

"Irene, Kai has stopped bothering Jennie." Mina explained and added. "Don't you think it's time for our dear Jennie to find a man who is presentable enough to be her boyfriend?" then looked behind her to see Lisa from a distance. "It's humiliating to have a nerd as a boyfriend let alone a girl." She cringes.

Jennie was shocked from what she heard. She wanted to get mad at her friends for insulting her girlfriend considering that Lisa did not do anything but to be kind and generous to them. She always buy them food and treat them every day.

"Mina, it seemed like Jenduekie here is mad and hurt." Mocking her.

Mina looked at her with wide eyes. "What? Don't tell me you've fallen in love with that Nerdy Longs Legs?"

Am I falling in love with her? Jennie asked herself. She's not sure about her feelings but she sure knows that she didn't wanna break up with her. Again, what she answered was far different from what she feels.

"Oh gosh! Of course not!" Jennie lied. "I was just thinking about you guys. No one's gonna treat your snacks even when I'm not around." She cringed while saying it. She didn't want to say it. She wanted them to stop insulting Lisa as she gets hurt because of their non-stop criticisms.

"Jennie!" Irene stood and hissed at her. Her face in disbelief. "Don't you feel bad about her? I know that I pushed you to date Lisa, but I was hoping you'll learn to like her too. And to be happy with her."

Mina rolled her eyes. "You're too romantic, Irene" putting her arms around the other girl's shoulders. "You're right, you were the one who pushed Jennie that's why it is impossible for her to fall in love with Lisa. Rich she may be but a nerd nonetheless."

"Just fuck off!" Again the raven haired girl shouted then stormed off.

Lisa furrowed her brows when she saw Irene walking out from the group. She looked pretty upset about something.

"Hey guys, what happened to Irene?" She asked the girls while handing them their drinks.

"Oh well, the usual, we pissed her off." Yeri said casually and laughed with Mina.

On the other hand, Jennie cannot feel anything amusing about the situation. It is not funny either. She wanted to walk out and follow Irene. But she chose not to. If she does that, that'll be an indirect admission that she's really falling for Lisa.
